Ricky was a very good project manager
As Nick supported him, the thing that failed the task was what Ricky hadn't wanted and he'd checked over and over.
I thought he managed the team really well, motivated them at the start gave clear direction at all times and presented well at the end |

I thought Ricky came in for much more criticism than he was due. On the whole he did pretty well, and he again showed he can present professionally. But he did make the same mistake as his previous PM task in allowing others to shoot the advert. He put too much faith in Jenna and Stephen, but equally it's difficult because he can't be everywhere at once, he did repeatedly underline the "quality, not cheese" message and he has to trust his team to do something!

As projectmanager he should have insisted on having the last say about the end product. They could easily have changed the whole cheesy message into something more classy or at least less cheesy, with the same cast and set. Why didn't he put arty Gabrielle on this task? |

Or he played a clever game by 'trusting' them to do the video so that when they lost he could blame it on that. Maybe even suspecting that entrusting this task with Stephen and Jenna it could well end up 'cheesy' and making sure to add in the directive that it shouldn't be too cheesy, thus covering himself from all angles.

To be honest I'm not sure what more Ricky could have done other than perhaps insist on there being no humour - although then they would probably have been accused of being boring, like Phoenix! He made his point several times and phoned in to check with the sub-team, only to be rassured by Jenna that the video was definitely classy. As he mentioned in the boardroom, he couldn't be in two places at once - although I do believe both Tom and he as PMs should have attended the shoot. |

Regards of the advert he also made the mistake of the name.
Everyone can blame Stephen for the name, but no one questioned its French name, he also failed there as a PM. |
