The downside is if his team loses then he's going to get fired so there won't be any surprise element. Perhaps Sugar will do two firings just to spice up the episode?

I think we are all hoping Sterling loses next week.

If it is a double firing I presume Ricky will also go as Sugar likes Gabby (I think its only them 3 on a team so)

There are two weeks after next week's episode. If it follows last year's pattern there will be 4 in the final. My guess - and it's only a guess - will be that we get a single firing next week, which will leave two teams of three to contest the final task proper, with two getting fired from the losing team to leave 4 for the interviews to decide the winner.

Of course, they could switch things around and give us 5 in the final, but that feels like too much for a 1-hour finale. Equally, I think a Young Apprentice style firing of the whole losing team is also unlikely - too much risk of losing a top candidate that way. Saving 1 out of 3 allows Sugar to hedge his bets no matter which team wins.

I half want him to lose and get fired - the other half of me wants to see him get a thorough mauling at the interview stage.

ah yes the interview round, good point he would get mauled by Claude and all the others. Like afew years ago Stuart Baggs was blatently only kept in for the interviews!

Yep, I think they will keep him in for that - the viewing figures will be sky high

If this happens I'd like to see him fired immediately

I'm not so sure that he will automatically be fired if his team loses. Firstly, it won’t make good TV if there isn’t any semi-staged drama in the boardroom and secondly, if someone else in his team makes a glaring error, LS might be compelled to pick them.
He won’t go on to win the series anyway (IMO), as LS will select who he wants, regardless of anything we see on the programme.

I really hope Stephen loses and is fired next week. All he does is deflect blame and come up with awful ideas, which he thinks are brilliant.

We've had 5 people in the interview round before, it wasn't too much for an hour.

But five people would be way too much for You're Hired.

In the past, five people at the interviews was the penultimate stage, but this year its the final stage.

Win or lose, I wouldn't be surprised to see Stephen survive tonight. Something tells me the aforementioned numpty would make perfect fodder for Claude Littner.
