I'd love some appreciation for Kate songs that don't get talked about much. I find some of my favourites, like Under the Ivy, Experiment IV, Hammer Horror, Coffee Homeground, Get Out of My House, Nocturn, In Search of Peter Pan, And Dream of Sheep....just to name a few!

What would you pick?

'Pull Out the Pin' from 'The Dreaming' is one of my favourites but I don't see it talked about much, although in fairness 'The Dreaming' is often cited as one of her best albums. One song that does spring to mind is 'Never Be Mine' from 'The Sensual World', I loved that song from the first listen and yet it never seems to get any attention. The album in general is underrated I think, but that song in particular for me stands out.

Well Hounds of love the entire album is usually held in high regard so anything of that i don't see as underrated Lionheart rightly so a weak album but full house, Khaska from Baghdad both great songs with great subject matter especially Khaska about a gay couple, Breathing one of her greatest single again its story and subject incredible Delius and blow away, sat in your lap, The Fog, The Red Shoes, Eat The Music, Sunset, an architects dream but to name a few.

Sunset from Aerial is sublime. I really love Nocturn and how it leads into the title track aswell. Never Be Mine, the Directors Cut version is brilliant too. So beautiful, much improved from the original.

Pull Out The Pin is one of my favourites too. Epic.

Eat The Music kills me every time. I love the nine minute US version.

And Hello Earth is the most haunting song of all time.

I love that song. It's got a really peculiar atmosphere about it. Eerie and unworldly.

Has it been featured on some kind of TV show? That's usually the reason for old songs re-entering the charts.

Totally agree

And I would add

You want alchemy
Be kind to my mistakes
The fog

And even Kate's cover of Sexual Healing, which is so simple and playful that I adore it.

It's reduced to 59p on iTunes Speaking of which, I'd love to know it's total sales.

Sexual Healing is indeed great, jlrob.

I love it in Sunset when the guitar strikes up. Bliss.

'The Dreaming' most often seems to be drubbed as Kate's 'least artistically succesful' album, but it's my favourite by a country mile. And singleswise it did crap. So anything from TD, basically, for me.

Have to agree with the OP about Experiment IV though - it's brilliant, as is the horripilating (and horrifically under-rated) video!!!

And so is love also Houdini.

Plus even though singles i often feel Cloudbusting and The Big Sky are often overlooked in favour of their more famous counterparts

This track was included on the Whole Story best of & had an excellent video.

I'd love to have heard more material from this period!
