Lumia 900
No its not about Siri
Had mine a week now and I love it. Better than the 800 I had for a couple of weeks (sent back due to signal problems with 3). Battery life is longer and I just love the Windows Phone OS. If you are thinking of changing well worth it.

4.3'' screen, HSDPA 42 Mbps, that's what would attract me if I hadn't Lumia 800 already.

How do you find the design and size?
What i mean is do you find it comfortable in your hand? When i had the lumia 800, because it was quite squareish and a bit bulky, it wasn't the most comfortable phone i've had. So i just wonder if the size increase has made it more uncomfortable, or do you not notice it? Also how do videos and pictures and heavy content websites look/perform on the phone? |

I went from an HTC HD7 with a 4.3-inch TFT LCD with RGB subpixel matrix to a Nokia Lumia with a 3.7-inch AMOLED with PenTile subpixel matrix and I can easily see the difference - the problem is more jaggies and the text rendering is much worse. Maybe your vision isn't great. |

The screen is bigger and feels better for me. My wife has the 800 still and she says mine is too big so apples and oranges. Theres also a camera on the front of the 900 other difference. Its the OS which is brilliant and fun. Wordament is a brilliant wee game to play and its free and you Xbox achievements for it. Love how you can swap between talking between texts and facebook in the same thread in texting. Its just fun

Not been able to get the Windows MarketPlace to work properly on my dektop PC yet – I sign in using the same e-mail and password as I did on my phone but it says I have not signed in on my phone when I try and download that way – that’s something to look into tonight. |

I'm considering a Windows Phone device come upgrade time. I do like Nokia's build and design of the Lumia series, got to have more of a play I think to fully commit!

I'm still tied into a contract for a little while, the only issue I have is the amount of apps I'll have to find alternatives for lol

Expect a big push with Windows 8 and having a connected infrastructure tablets, phone and computer. Im expecting a big shake up myself as "enterprises" will use this more than Apple.

They will make lumias with some bits of pureview tech. From a camera hardware perspective, the Lumias are on a par with the N8. It's the image processing technology that makes the Lumia cameras very average. To be honest, the N8 is a pretty nice device, just take that and add WP with modern CPU/GPU/RAM specs and you've got a nice device. |

Whatever...maybe at HD resolutions it doesn't, at WVGA it does.

Maybe your vision isn't great. The galaxy note has a pentile screen, yet everyone say its a great screen. Go figure. |

Unless your holding it an inch from your eye and using a magnifying glass, then you wouldnt be able to tell the difference. Thats got nothing to do with my eyesight, but the limitations of the human eye. Holding your phone at a reasonable distance, you will not be able to see a difference. Unless of course you have a bionic eye, then what you say is possible, otherwise cough cough bullshit cough.
The galaxy note has a pentile screen, yet everyone say its a great screen. Go figure. I know what I saw, I know what my friends have seen too. With the Lumia 800, you just look at text on the screen and know it's pentile, I only confirmed it afterwards. The Galaxy Note has a much higher resolution screen - 1280x800 compared to the 480x800 on the Lumia. As a larger device, you will hold it slightly further away from you than a Lumia too. |

It would be interesting to see if anyone could tell the difference if they didn't know which screen was which.
I doubt anyone can really tell with the naked eye under normal conditions..... |

So you think the likes of Vlad Savov and Chris Ziegler at The Verge are BSers too?

To be fair in the review of the Lumia 800 they mention it is PenTile but that you don’t really notice it unless you are holding the phone really close. |

I switched from HTC HD7 to Lumia 800 and the difference really annoyed me on reading small text and it still does inspite of the Lumia having higher pixel density. Why is it so hard to believe? It's basically a 30% reduction in resolution. |

I promise you I can...at WVGA resolutions anyway and the problem is really only for text. I didn't notice it really looking at a Galaxy Note.
