She said that ARTPOP is all about possibilities and stretching what you can do with pop and art together. She said as an experience it would be bigger than anything we've experienced with her so far... and that it has ties to stuff she was doing in New York. And she also said that she's still going through the creative process now and she's taking the time to just make sure everything is right. I reckon ARTPOP is still ages away...

They're having a proper meltdown on GGD! They think she logged off cos it was so awkward and they were asking such rubbish questions! Just seemed such a waste of an opportunity really..

What kind of f*ckery.

Were those people even fans?

The questions were crap in total honesty. However IF 'ARTPOP' was out of bounds, it's hard to sort of think of what to ask in terms of future stuff (because she also couldn't say anything about 'Machete Kills' either).

They asked questions that most of us knew the answers to anyway! Why not ask about the Terry Richardson documentary? Or about why she's been pictured wearing burqas recently? Or what she's going to do after the BTWB finishes? There's ways of asking about ARTPOP without directly referencing it and she brought it up enough times, whilst being vague.

I don't know what was going on...

If pretty much everything we wanted to know was out of bounds, then what was the point?

She was probably kinda pissed that the fans were shit and she didn't get to tease.

Yeah maybe, also perhaps she was contractually obliged to do the chat as a deal with skype or something...
Still they were really shit fans - the girl couldn't speak at all!

This was shockingly bad. Everything about is was bad. Gaga seemed pretty rude to be honest. I love the woman but she seemed very abrupt, especially about Machette Kills and then the "I gotta go". It was pretty bad and such a waste of time. I have a feeling she will give us some information about ARTPOP tomorrow to make up for the trainwreck of this and as an "apology" so-to-say because there is definitely a bit of an uproar in the LM community.

Come to think of it...she probably got shirty not only because the fans were shit but because one asked about her 'favourite Skype moment'. I mean, what kind of planted question?

Became pretty obvious that at the very least Skype had interfered, at most...could have selected particular "fans".

Nevermind.

She did look really good but it was one of the cringiest things I have ever watched, pretty embarrassing!

From the reception it's getting on hear I' am glad I didn't bother staying up to watch it.

I didn't watch it either, but all I can say is that she never promised info about ARTPOP, and I think people need to calm down. If she was as rude as people are saying then I can't excuse that, but at the end of the day, there's only so much she can do. She's not just got an album on the way, there's the tour to finish, the Foundation, the Machete film and Lord knows what else. She's working her butt off, and I think everyone needs to respect that and be a little more patient. Yes, I want to know when the album is out, but I can't have meltdowns everyday, and ask 'Where is ARTPOP?' over and over. She can't really win-if she doesn't say anything, people moan, and vice versa.

I have to defend her here, because I feel that everyone needs to chill out a bit.

To be honest, it's not just the ARTPOP thing. I'm sure she's been told to keep it under wraps - it was the questions that the so-called fans even asked. The first question was 'Are you ever going to come to Ukraine?' and another was 'What's your favourite skype moment?' I mean really? Her attitude just kinda stank but I'm guessing she was pissed that they weren't really fans and were asking redundant questions.

The things is there wasn't really new information about anything. She couldn't talk about Machete Kills, nobody asked her about BTWB backstage stuff, there was no mention of the Terry Richardson documentary. It was like there was no point... People stayed up, got up early to watch it and there were technical difficulties and she just seemed bored. It's just frustrating - it just seems like there was no point really.

Of course if the album isn't coming until the summer then she's doing the right thing by not saying anything, but she did vaguely bring up ARTPOP a few times so maybe she wanted to be asked. The people chosen to interview with her weren't even proper fans, or didn't seem to be - they didn't seem that excited to be honest!

I think the skype interview was something she had to agree to as part of her deal with them - but it was a terrible ad for the service and they were wrong to plant people in there. But she did act kinda pissy about the persona question and then there was all the faffing around with the hair and make-up. Maybe it was a performance piece?

Yeah I heard that the questions weren't all that, and unfortunately I think that was because the people chosen were either too excited or were just casual fans. As for people staying up or getting up early-well, that was their choice. Tbh, this will be forgotten about in a week.

Yeah you're probably right. And I know it's their choice, but she knew that they would be doing that anyway, she knows how many people would be watching. It just seems like a missed opportunity if I'm honest, and I was just disappointed in her attitude at times. Not all the time - at the beginning she was quite sweet, but I think the whole situation was frustrating to her. Oh well, we all move on.

True. Everyone who's been having a meltdown will love her again I reckon.

I think it's a problem with the Internet to be honest. Too much speculation, snippets and rumours - it makes the wait seem longer. Not like it's been 4 years or whatever! Just hard to be patient when she's promising that it's going to be worth the wait /- though I guess she's not going to say otherwise is she?

I completely agree MissMusique. I understand she is working her ass off but to be honest the interaction with her fans as of late has started to diminish. She had an opportunity here to tell us new info (not solely related to ARTPOP) and it was just wasted. She did seem quite rude and to be honest she spent more time playing with her hair or talking off-screen. I also aren't buying the whole "She took time out of her busy schedule to do this for us, we should be grateful" - Oh come on when you're getting millions thrown at you every second, crowds of cheering fans and then every other perk i'm sure taking 30 minutes out of your "hectic" day isn't that difficult. I don't know, maybe i'm just a little irked with her attitude recently.

Video from the BTWB in US. She sings BTW acoustically, and gives $5000 to a shelter in the local community on behalf of the BTW Foundation.

'Do you sing live?'

'Do people not sing live?' the shade!

Love LG! Donation to a very worth while cause.

She has downplayed the ArtPop on her tour. When I saw her at Twickenham - she chose a fan to come on to sateg and was given an ArtPop t-shirt but she didnt acknowledge it. She put it on tho. And the crowd (golden cricle) were yelling for a particular new track (not princess die). She ignored them and played a track from BTW. I think that this is wise.

You're right! Whilst we're (or at least I am) all moaning about lack of news re ARTPOP, I can only be hopeful that she learnt her lesson from BTW and not spend months overhyping it. The moaning on my part just comes from impatience - but of course I only want new music when it's ready and I trust she knows what she's doing.

Did you go to the first twickenham date? I was at that one

The donation will probably go unreported by the media in general - but glad to hear that BTW foundation are doing things in local areas to bring communities together. At first I must admit I wasn't sure what the foundation were actually proactively doing but if they carry on along these lines with the donations and the Born Brave Bus, I think it'll do some good!

Jeff RT'd this. Probably true. Especially after Vince (her manager) said it.

I reckon she'll do a cover or revamp one of her old hits to make it relevant to the situation. I doubt she'd play new material - not really the time! Would love her to do a piano segment!

It'll probably be a mini acoustic set (TEOG, Y&I, PF, Imagine).

Probably not Government Hooker

Yes Miss Musique I was at that Twickenham date. Great gig. Adore Twickenham as a venue too. The whole town comes alive!
