Love her and all but yeh...but when it comes to gaga i dont think its ever single meaning, unless she is to appeal to the masses, in which case good luck with radio airplay

Madeon is confirmed. He worked with her on the Euro leg, now he's working with her on the NA leg alongside Zedd, DJWS and whoever else. There are still unknown producers.
RedOne is up the air, and we haven't heard anything from Fernando since 2011. His early stuff may have been cut. As for when the album is coming, we kinda knew the album wasn't finished yet and had work to be done...so Zedd's words aren't a big deal. He may have said his tracks needed work, but he also implied that they'd be done soon and were 99% there. I don't feel anything has changed in terms of timeframe. We'll be in the ARTPOP era in late spring (Apr/May), it's just a question of when the second single/album will come. he is so inspired and i like his sounds that he has had on the BTW album and Dance In The Dark...would love to hear the next stage...White Shadow gets the more intense side of things...his personality is vile but i like sonically what he did too....Madeon i am glad is involved for definite too will be interesting what the combination of DJs means for Artpop....we will see and hear. And yes i think an announcement will happen in March as she starts to round up the tour, and then of course whatever has been filmed is all set for first single and/or needs to be filmed for Spring release...then a gap, then follow up early summer with second single/video and then key into third single and album June/July time i reckon and make it summer dominant. |

His chat came alongside her talking about the decay of the superstar...which she hasn't mentioned in ages, so there are rumours that she's changed tact and with it the related early material (aka Fernando's stuff). I'm expecting an announcement on Grammy night, or at least in February. Gaga ain't got time for other girls getting all the attention.

She looked so beautiful at the inauguration concert! Just think in the four years he's already been President, she's gone from being a virtual nobody (in the mainstream sense) to being a superstar (in every sense :P) can't watch the video on my phone but my guess is she sounded great!

I do think Gaga is always a different experience to work with than other artists. Just my opinion of course but from what we know of her she's very demanding of herself and others when it comes to creating music. So I always think her work with different producers and DJs brings out something alternative than their work with other artists. RedOne's work has become almost recognisable and generic but I do think with Gaga, he has the ability to create something magical. I think she pushes in a way other artists just don't.
I think this also may be the reason why ARTPOP is taking longer than we originally thought. She's so picky, she's not going to put anything out that she's isn't 100% happy with, and neither are such high calibre producers like Zedd or Madeon. That's a lot of different people who have to be completely happy with something. I do hope that Garibay has some stuff on ARTPOP, I think his productions are so layered and interesting! But maybe her idea for the album has changed since they worked together, and those songs don't fit the blueprint anymore. Still there's always the app and I have a feeling she's going to use that to release music that isn't on the album(s). I'm still here for the two volumes of ARTPOP - it presents a nice contrast and works with the whole idea of ART (here the more experimental/less radio friendly tracks) and POP (more commercial). Why do I feel like what she releases is just going to come out of left field and completely floor us? I have this feeling that what we're going to get is so different from anything we've had from her before. It might be an even bigger direction change than TF/TFM to BTW was!! But she's planning something big. That much is obvious. This launch is going to be massive and I think they want to do it properly this time - she's not playing around anymore. Bring on ARTPOP!! |

She definitely doesn't seem to be playing around anymore does she? I think this is why she has been quite distant as of late with her fans and the media. I think she is literally making herself "fade" so that she can come back with a huge bang. She definitely knows what she is doing that I am sure of.
Apparently though the song she played in her car wasn't actually an ARTPOP song at all, it was just a song. Some even said it isn't even a Gaga song whilst some say it is "Nothing on (But The Radio) which if this is the case I am in heaven; she definitely should have released this track. It is too difficult to make out the track she plays in her car. You would have thought those Monsters listening would have posted some of the lyrics they remember online... ![]() To be honest the next Gaga-related thing I think we are going to get is the Cher collab. Cher did say 'Greatest' would be her second single so should be any time soon. Not much for Cher but I loved Gaga's demo of 'greatest' so cannot wait. |

Oh and also this snippet leaked the other day, not sure if people have heard it yet but it has actually been claimed to be "real" by the media (But then again...)
I'm not sure if it is real or not but we shall see. https://soundcloud.com/btwreborn/lad...het-dj-white-1 |

The song she played in her car ages ago, the title track and swan song IIRC, sounded very Fernando circa Heavy Metal Lover...so it's possible that they have some tracks long finished.

While i love her influences incorporated in her music/looks/performances i feel very much that has come to a head now and now she should mash up other ventures/concepts/ideas not done before to make her THE gaga so-to-speak?

Although tbh she never truly made an album that was an "album" if that makes sense (although Its A Mans World album is great IMO!) But i feel that it all may be scrapped by the sound of it...or not be an actual released song....i wouldnt think anyhow...sounds like she is to have everyone under the sun on the record...gaga, P!nk, Christina, Sia, Timbaland, Redone, David guetta XD ah man...anything for anything :PAnd as for the demo i wasnt a fan...so will be intrigued as to how it will be shaped and changed maybe? if it ever is unearthed?? |

I think the problem with Gaga (at present) is she's not being very clear on what the album is going to be about. When the album title was announced (and she performed 'Princess Die') fans speculated (and I think she even said this) that it was going to be about the "decay of a superstar". But skip forward 8 months, she's saying it's about truth etc. So it's one big circle (ala Born This Way in many ways).
I don't doubt that is the plan though. Realistically she owes us nothing at all, she's working on her album and she's taking as much time as she feels necessary for it to be completed. |

And yes HM i love that Ellie song too

Somehow I think that The Greatest Thing diet has gone to te great Gaga Bermuda Triangle / still it might materialise, you never know!
I thought she sounded great at the inauguration ball - I love when she does her hits acoustically, and this is why she is at the moment incomparable to her peers. Nobody else (that i know of anyway) currently reworks their songs (and every song mind you) to work with just piano, and perform it - with some songs differently each time. It's like she just sees how she feels when she's playing and it comes out. I agree with what you said JP - it's supported by the music. You can tell from the quality of Madonna's music that she demands the best not only of herself but also her team. I feel that maybe that went array with MDNA but that's by the by and not really relevant anymore, she doesn't have anything to prove. Gaga has the same drive I feel, to make sure that nothing is half done or to not settle for anything other than what she and the other creators are happy with. This is why her stuff is different, and production wise so rich. If you strip away her vocals and just listen to the instrumentals there's so much detail and complex layering - it's so clever! ARTPOP will be what it will be and I've given up trying to second guess her. If there's anything this era has taught me so far it's to expect the unexpected. Or to just not expect anything at all she's constantly writing and constantly inspired so ideas and concepts will change over time. And who knows? If she doesn't end up referencing decay of an idol this time round, she'll revisit it - it's something she's mentioned multiple times and obviously something that interests her.

If she doesn't end up referencing decay of an idol this time round, she'll revisit it - it's something she's mentioned multiple times and obviously something that interests her.And yeah i love that though, where you have multi-meanings and interpretations with songs, it makes it all the more special, and also allows it to grow over time...i mean in 5 - 10 years from now people will look back through her albums and say BTW is an underrated album, most definitely. There is a lot to take on board and understand. And totally...i mean i love MDNA but i do definitely agree in comparison to her previous albums specifically 1st to 10th its not a patch...but considering that its still concise AND 30 years into her legacy most artists in her contemporaries faded 5 years in...quite the feat Whereas with gaga, shes keeping it fresh echoing the past and mixing it up with the rpesent....enough of the fan war crap, we know gaga is here to stay for however long she wishes to....pretense and whatever it all adds to it :P therefore i do agree that what some posters have said that she will have a "Prince-like" career in a sense....and eventually become a name to mention alongside previous music Icons like Iggy Pop etc...obviously not the SAME but in her own way...itll be interesting...she is in her fifth year of prominance and ARTPOP is her most important album/era i truly feel overall which is why its so intriguing. And yeah concepts fade out and come back into fruition, but the idea of "decay/fame/celebrity" is so damn intriguing too. |

Well i wont be endorsing in THAT lol! although i must admit i am glad she is embracing her Jazzy side somewhat....even if its kinda a co-production teamwork with that may tease that one day in the future she may do her own "Im Breathless", "Back To Basics" style moment and embrace Jazz as a conceptualised album in the future....would be interesting.

She would be foolish not to explore the Jazz side, she has the voice for it as proven on Lady Is a Tramp, I doubt this will really be an artistic drive thing just a fun project, she has a great relationship with Tony, he's probably like her father so I imagine it will be a treat
but definitely its not a "gaga project" hopefully this will be released November time this year however for the Christmas market like Kylie did with her Abbey Road Sessions...although obviously different as that was a "Kylie project" and a retrospective BUT i do think Jazz and Tony Bennet with her at CHristmas/Winter will ensure the album has its time to shine But tbh Artpop news must be soon :P...lol "soon"

Is ARTPOP still going to be a two parter which will make 3 new albums this year ?
I have to admit against my better judgements i am excited for ARTPOP. Apart from the initial hype it's been kept lowkey. she has hopefully learned fromt he farce that was BTW and the ensuing lukewarm reception. Hopefully this time too the music will stand up to scrutiny and she starts to fullfill her potential or im off ship and giving up

PINK-&-FLUFFY, how did you get on with the unreleased gaga songs? Did you manage to listen to them yet?
One I just remembered which I absolutely love, is 'Big Girl Now' ft. New Kids On The Block (okay it's not unreleased but was on their album..i think). |
