I think ARTPOP is a fresh start. A campaign and project for Stefani to go all out with her creation of Lady Gaga. She's not trying to break out into mainstream like The Fame, she's not trying to prove she isn't a one hit wonder like The Fame Monster and she's not trying to secure her fans like Born This Way - ARTPOP is trying to demonstrate who she is, what she wants to do and where she's going. It's all about her.

I'm expecting the era to be a celebration of "Lady Gaga" and what she's about. An exhibition of her popstar philosophy. There'll be elements of fame commentary, sociopolitical messages and personal reflection...but it'll mostly showcase her approach of bringing art to pop and making underground mainstream.

In terms of artist collaborations, I think it'll be a practice of combining the worlds of art and pop. How can she deliver an award show pop performance with avant garde theatrics? How can she create pop videos with conceptual artists? Photoshoots? Fashion? Tours? Artwork?

It's a little thing, but I'd love if each single had collectable artwork created by a contemporary artist.

Agreed this is about HER the creation of "lady gaga" and what that character and alter ego represents in three dimensions in music in performance in showcase...

So yeah it is a question as to how she can adapt so many sounds and make a cohesive pattern out of it in theme...in how she can transform the visuals of it into a compact booklet and the videos and promotions. And of coruse how she can bring it into live performances...i mean there are so many opportunities...and i lvoe that we have until mid November so we wil at least have two singles/videos out to become "known/hits" on their own merits...but also enough time to have more releases post album too...and agreed it would be great if they did make every single release an event in themselves too....artworks/romotions could be a massive collectors era!

This #mtvhottest isn't working out on twitter, lots of people are said to have voted but Gaga is in fifth place they said. I went through the hashtag but I couldn't find a single Gaga one! All Bieber and 1D with even the odd Conor Maynard and Olly Murs! So odd

I think there's some sort of stigma that no one can call Gaga sexy and mean it. But I would say with her later look (this ARTPOP stuff) she IS sexy. She's become very "womanly". I can't describe it but she's blossomed!

She's certainly less cyber-tranny, couture mannequin and sexy-ugly monster these days. Feminine, simple, glamorous and bright seems to be the 'look' of ARTPOP.

There's three leaked shots from the V magazine cover shoot and a video clip of her staring at the camera with someone saying her tea (which is the name of a song) is done in the background. Seems like the Haus is intentionally leaking to build hype.

I wonder how this clip will be linked, if at all?? I agree toanythingtaboo - i doubt this is accidental at all, they're leaking just enough to get people excited without revealing their hand. We still know nothing about the actual sound, which is pretty impressive this far down the line!

Cyber-tranny, amazing word (phrase?)

Apparently a fan heard some tracks yesterday being blasted from Gaga's car as she was at the pitchfork festival. He described the tracks as trappy and also dancey - nothing like Bad Romance or Poker Face and that her voice sounds angelic. He's refusing to post any audio links as he doesn't want to betray Gaga but he posted some lyrics although he's not entirely sure what he heard. I never take any notice of these reports even more so when someone won't give a link to what they heard (if anything)

After months of silence and everyone involved being pretty tight lipped about the album and now the PR machine carefully stage managing the slow drip drip of information to build the hype we are meant to believe Gaga rolls into a festival with the album playing full blast in her car for everyone to hear

It's a hard one - i guess we have to take it with a pinch of salt. Without an audio clip we won't know whether he's making it up or not - and i kinda don't want to hear anything anyway. As impatient as I am, I don't want it to leak so i'll just carry on waiting. I think he said something like it was like faster, more dancey version of Cake like lady gaga but i'm not sure off the top of my head. I don't even really know what trap means i have to say...

well Trap is like electronic Hip Hop stylised stuff....its only really hit popularity NOW to be honest so it will be interesting to hear how she does that really but we knew she was heading that direction anyway from hints we have had and stuff.

As for that...pinch of salt is best taken but tbh anyone could have written that...but again loyalty means no leaks...but surely if she was blasting it others would have heard too and someone less loyal would have clips out and about already surely?

and yeah HEUS it is a cool visual clip....liking these like moving photos...wish shed have an image of that "leaked" instead rather than her nude one...but alas.

Saw somewhere that it was probably not an actual video as we know it but a photo shoot filmed in ultra hi definition slow motion..

Rather than taking lots of individual photos the photographer can just lift hi definition stills from the film and capture exactly the moment he wants.
