Whose new album?
![]() I guess my opinion is similar to a lot on this thread - Tongue in cheek until the she's not me at the end. I dont think it's necessary, as Madonna had already said her bit about it - but this is just bringing it all up again and really makes her come across as b*tchy and desperate for attention. It's a shame really because I'm sure her tour is amazing and is obviously going to do brilliantly well - why can't she let it speak for itself? Rather than drag Gaga into it, it's like she has to make a desperate grab for attention to get people talking about the tour. It's only going to start the fan wars up again and it's just a real shame. I expected more from Madonna to be honest, I thought she was classier than this! |

I agree. Popjustice put out an article about it, blaming GaGa for it. Here it is. I understand what they're saying (that whole NME interview was a mess), but at the same time, would it have stopped Madonna from doing this nonsense in the first place? I personally doubt it.

I hope the fan war doesn't go on for to long twitter is fully of fans throwing insults at each other it's doing nothing but making both fan bases look bad. I'm kind of hoping Gaga tweets something to calm it down but I don't think she'll want to get involved.

Yes I've seen it - and I do agree to a certain extent. Gaga is not blameless in this at all! I just think its childish and a shame really - I'm disappointed more than anything else. Would Madonna have had to get Gaga's permission to perform it? Or is it such a small snippet that she wouldn't have to? I can't imagine Gaga being happy with it, or perhaps it's all just a joke and like everything is getting blown out of all proportion?

I'm trying to think of the best way for her to handle this. Whether to tweet something or just ignore it like she's mostly done thus far. It'll all blow over soon enough - its just sad that at this stage in her amazing career that Madonna still feels the need to act this way. You'd think at this point that her hits would speak for themselves! It's not like people didn't know how she felt...

It's behaviour you'd expect in a playground really rather than from 2 adults! Gaga could have handled the situation better as popjustice said, and someone should have pointed the similarities out to her beforehand - but she's only ever said complimentary things about Madonna so I would imagine this seems rather like a smack in the face!

Madonna is a bitch through and through
Her current problem is that coming off the back of her flop film she has had two flop singles, and however her fans try to spin it, a flop album in MDNA - on top of that the only press she seems to be getting is negative and mostly about her age. She is clearly showing her insecurity over the up and coming women who are younger, better looking, and don't have bums that hang out of their leotards. Then to make it worse there is Gaga a real thorn in her side and is someone who really does have the potential to take her crown She has a tour to promote so has to do something to generate interest. So she reverts to type and her shoe size and does something controversial to start a fan war which is going to get very bad and dirty. So in Madge world that's job done |

Oh I hope that doesn't happen you just know it would turn into one big bitch fest, Gaga and Madonna's fan bases arn't going to come out this looking good I just wish they could both be a bit more mature about things. At the end of the day there's more important things happening in the world it's just music after all.
