I cannot be dealing with another fan war, it's completely ridiculous. Maybe if everyone was so passionate about the more important things in life, rather than debating who wore the best dress last week, and whether there's a vague similarity between two songs in a large backcatalogue for each artist, the world might be a better place.

If it was such a big issue to her, being mature would be Madge privately phoneing Gaga a year ago and telling her how P****d she was at Gaga copying her song. But there is no publicity in that is there

Tell me about it! Of course I'm irritated that this has happened and have an opinion on the matter - but another fan war is just ridiculous. I've never understood why they happen (were there always fan wars or is it a byproduct of social media?) and think it reduces everybody to morons really! Why can't it ever be about the music?

You've said before elasticlove that you're a fan of both Madonna and Gaga - what do you think? Just M's sense of humour, gaga got her just desserts or a joke that's gone to far? Obv M fans are going to defend her saying it's just the way she is etc but what is inevitable now is that the delusional stans from each camp are going to behave badly which somehow will only end up reflecting badly on Gaga!
