Talking of which, what do you think will be the 'Schiesse' of the album? Fans already are saying 'G.U.Y'

I don't like to judge it in such a way. I don't know if you listened to Gaga's interview with Scott Mills last week but she seemed to be rather passionate about people listening to ARTPOP and forgetting about her other work, though mainly people looking for the Bad Romance/Poker Face of the album...though of course everybody has their ways of listening

BadKid95 - I'd definitely stream the album tomorrow, it must be so annoying on here with everybody talking about the music! I've pre-ordered the album anyway so don't feel too bad about listening to leaks.

I think with every album there will be a fan favourite that isn't released - I don't really know what it was for TF (for me it was Paper Gangsta, love that song) TFM - Dance in the Dark, BTW - Scheisse. I don't know what this one will be... I hope G.U.Y gets a single release, and Gypsy also...

I think now, looking over the music as a whole, Applause seems a bit strange on there.

I'll probably change my mind but I'd probably have had her do something like
1. Swine (for pure craziness and WTF? factor)
2. DWYW (crossover appeal)
3. Gypsy
4. G.U.Y
5. no idea... probably Sexxx Dreams or Donatella

It's hard picking singles from that album, because apart from Gypsy and DWYW it's hard to know how the public will take to any of the songs. Most of them are so different from what Gaga's done before and I don't know how much songs like Donatella or MJH would get played on the radio. Having said that I picked Swine as my lead single so what do I know?

of course you can it takes too long to type otherwise!

fans seem split on dope, it's a marmite song. early favourites seem to be G.U.Y and Donatella.

I've not heard anything bad about Gypsy. It seriously needs to be a single.

I'm still not completely over what she did to I wanna be with you. But Dope is growing on me...

What exactly is different with Dope? Is it just the lyrics to the chorus that have changed?

It makes me smile seeing Dope at #1 on iTunes chart considering it is universally hated by the majority of people!

A total overstatement there if I may say. Divides opinions yes but universally hated no way

It's #1 because of the album pre-orders which maybe says something about how just many of them there are

Woo go Gaga! I really like Dope, it's growing on me! I understand people's problems with it, as some of them I probably share (poor diction being the main one) but for me, her pain comes through so strong, as well as her love and I think it fits perfectly on ARTPOP. The album as a whole is so loud and energetic, and then Dope comes and is so heartbreaking and honest. I think this album has something for everybody in that respect.

I know what you mean about the poor diction but on Dope I think it's deliberate. It's supposed to be being sung by a drug and booze addict so the slightly slurred speech is what you might expect from someone with this problems.
I think it's part of Gaga being a performance artist that she will try to get Immersed in the role play of the song as well as the singing.
That's my opinion anyway

Knowing Gaga I wouldn't be surprised at all

And I guess my gripes about her diction in other songs is because I can't hear her, not because she's not enunciating!

I'm not here for the Dope performance (also her live performance of Venus, when she screams Venus it's so cringe-worth [it sounds like this Hurtz song from Germany 10 years ago], it works on the Album, though).

Let me say her i-tunes Performance was perfection, I mean you can play with emotions and be bizarre (like Nomi), be the Drama Queen (like Freddy) and so on but in the right amount, to serve the art, and she did that on i-tunes.

Her yesterday performance was playing while on dope but she was dead sober and sung operesc "knödelnd" through a pop song, for me gruesome to hear and watch, imo.

I actually really like the studio version saying that I only though the i-tunes festival version was just ok where as most people loved it.

Apparently Gaga will be the first popstar to perform in space in 2015:

http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-...n-2015-2013611

Not sure if this is true but I can so see Gaga doing it! I wonder what she'll sing... better choose carefully inb4 it's Venus, I really hope not. I love that song, but no.

What is everybody making of ARTPOP a few days in? I'm trying not to listen to it much as I'm waiting until I have the full CD, but I did cheekily DL Swine and GUY because I think those are my favourites, with Gypsy a close third. Dope has really grown on me, I really like it actually. She seems to be getting good reviews for ARTPOP too, so far with 3 reviews on metacritic she's doing pretty well.

I'm holding out til' Monday. I downloaded the leak Saturday and listened to it, but on my iPhone right now I just have 'Donatella' 'ARTPOP' and 'Mary Jane Holland'. I deleted the rest as I would like some anticipation for Monday. I can't wait!

'Gypsy' is amazing though. Reminds me of 'Don't Stop Believin' or something, brilliant song!
(I also think Gaga sounds a bit like Gwen Stefani in 'manicure', particularly the "can you feel it/can you feel it" part).

Interesting about Gaga performing in space. Maybe she'll do a medley a song from each era!
Poker Face > Bad Romance > Born This Way > Applause

I think these are the songs that are potential smash hits:

-Sex Dreams
-MANiCURE (incredibly catchy and radio friendly, short and sweet, does the job of a good pop song)
-Gypsy

I would also like a BTW tour dvd LM - I was at the first London night with my best friend and sister and we loved it! The crowd was electric and so friendly and everybody was just partying away! I'd love a dvd to remember it

I think Gypsy has to be a single! And also I think GUY should be too, love those songs!
