Apparently Gaga felt depressed when she finished ARTPOP

Anyone see Gaga and June Brown on Graham Norton last night?

Both as charmingly bonkers as each other!

They were brilliant -- They could easily have done the whole show on their own

I thought they were really cute together! Re her performances - still think Venus is a bit messy, I don't know why she needed the guitar at the end but I liked the different harmonies she did during the chorus'. DWYW still feels a little last minute and I think it needs more of a sexy routine - i think she did a good job, but also that scrunch thing she does with her voice grates when she does it all the time. It's effective once or twice but not all the time I think... Still, good performances and bring on some more!!

That was probably one of my favourite Gaga appearances actually. She come across well and and dare I say, it 'Normal', which isn't a problem for me as I love her anyway, but for non-fans watching.

Her and June Brown were brilliant!

I'm really excited for the artRave tomorrow night. It's streamed I think but it won't be at a sociable hour for us Europeans - I think 4:30am or something! I'm not waking up for that! I'll catch it on Monday. I hope she performs a few of the other songs and I can't wait to see what she has in store with everything!!

So much promo in the UK atm… apart from GN last night, I walked past a big ARTPOP billboard today in Waterloo, before turning on ITV2 and seeing an ARTPOP promo advert followed by the 02 advert in the same break, love it!

I wish they would keep showing that o2 advert on ITV or something, especially during X Factor tonight, let y'all know ARTPOP is HERE.

I cannot wait for tomorrow.

I've seen the Donna Summer one many more times than I have the Gaga one.

Same! But I'm not complaining, I Feel Love is such a classic! 02 really have got it right with their two adverts

I watched Graham Norton, and I thought it was so cute! I agree with Graham when he said that Gaga should take June on her next tour and she did come across very well, rather talkative, she did but in a bit during Jude Law's part but whatever. Performances were also A grade, Venus outfit was my favourite too.

Also what was that trailer at the end for The Culture Show on Wednesday?

Missed that
It's an interview at 10pm Wednesday on BBC2

"Duration: 29 minutes

More than 40 million people follow Lady Gaga on Twitter. Can they possibly be wrong? For her fans, the Little Monsters, Gaga is not just a star - she is a mother figure and a fellow sufferer. As her long-awaited third album ARTPOP is released, Gaga meets Miranda Sawyer for an exclusive interview, to talk about pop, art, fans, and her need, and ours, for applause"

i hope iTunes air an advert during the x factor, saying to preorder ARTPOP.
in my dreams the advert consists of snippets of: applause, DWUW and the song ARTPOP to close off the advert.

I wonder how many people will be let into the artRave? Apparently fans are being encouraged to write on the sculptures and also dance on/around them and that it will be filmed and put into a video - whether this means the video for DWYW or not I don't know.

Such an exciting way to launch the album, very innovative and I can't wait to see/hear more about it.

Haven't watched it yet. I have to say, i like that song. At first I wasn't sure because I couldn't understand the words but now I can work them out and for me it comes across as very emotional. Perhaps its over indulgent but it's grown on me!

Volantis looks a little dangerous but I'm so impressed with the Haus this era. Cipher looks super cool and I liked Bubble Dress 2.0. They're being really innovative this era and bringing the art with their level of creation! Did she also premiere the LED wig?

Just watched ArtRave and if I wasn't before I am now totally convinced that when she cuts back on the theatrics and lets her own talent and performance skills shine through she really is a fantastic live artist.

Come on Gaga just accept that sometimes less is more

After listening to the album all the way through, I have to say I'm not in love with it. I think it's ok. There are some songs that are great such as G.U.Y, Swine, Gypsy and imo Dope, and others which come close like Aura, Venus, Sexxx Dreams and Applause. But on the whole I don't think this is an album I'm going to listen to a lot in the next 2 years, unlike BTW which I played and played and played. And I still play TFM.

My thoughts are thus: her vocals are brilliant, I love how much stronger her voice is, how she's experimenting with different sounds etc. BUT, I simply cannot understand what she's saying most of the time. I shouldn't have to resort to the album booklet to get a rough sense of what the hell she's going on about, which I have to do for most of the songs. And when I can understand what she's saying - the lyrics generally aren't great. Donatella being a prime example. I like the melody and the 'accompanying' production but the lyrics are awful. Its tongue in cheek I know, but it's just a bit s**t.

I don't like how she's changed the songs from Swinefest, I think MANiCURE was better how it was before, with the heal me, save me parts instead of the can you feel it. When she does sing the former part at the end it sounds completely disjointed from the flow of the song now. And I think it sounds better with an introduction. ARTPOP I do like, but it's just a bit meh for me, though I do love the trippy, hippy kinda feel it has to it.

MJH and Fashion I just don't get at all. The MJH structure is very strange and I have no idea what she's saying and don't know the words are drawn out so long most of the time, it's weird. Fashion I just don't get why it's on the album.

Jewels n'Drugs I don't mind actually, it's ok I just wish it had an epic chorus to go with it, but maybe that's not trap?? DWYW I skip every time. Just not my cup of tea despite how great she sounds on it, I just don't like that kind of music.

Basically I feel that the album sounds like a bunch of demos, it's not the high quality I've come to expect from Gaga. I can feel her passion for it underneath which is great, and I love the idea of it all. But the production (whilst sometimes brilliant) is simply too overpowering at times for her voice and that needs to be rectified along with her diction. The flow in the songs feels weird (Aura, MANiCURE, Venus in particular) and like she's sewn a bunch of ideas together instead of letting them flow organically. Maybe this is a new structure she's trying for, where not every song adheres to verse, pre chorus, etc etc but it feels strange to my ears and just not finished.

I hope this album does well despite this and I do enjoy her performances of the songs, as well as all the extra stuff she's giving fans this era. As I said, I don't hate it, but I've come to expect more from her and I think the material is lacking this era. She needs to reign herself in a bit more, streamline her ideas and just make everything sound a bit cleaner. I don't mean dumb it down or make it generic, but just neater sounding. She's one of the best and most famous popstars in the world, and I just think this album doesn't reflect that. I'll listen to it more and again this evening but I don't think this will be in my top albums of all time.

I think she made a mistake previewing so much of the material beforehand because when I heard the album only MJH and Fashion were new for me, and that's always a bit of a letdown.

Sexxx Dreams is my favourite followed by Aura, MANiCURE, G.U.Y, Gypsy, Venus and DWUW

My least favourite is Donnatella and I'm also not keen on Swine

I like Fashion! because it reminds me of Madonna's Holiday and MJH is also alright

Jewels n Drugs and Dope are okay, I do think the latter is spoilt simply with "dope" being used

In comparison to Born This Way, I actually prefer ARTPOP on the first listen and odds are I will start to like Swine and the others more with an increased number of listens. She has a good pop album here, I think I'll give it around a 7.5/10 but odds are that will increase

I am in LOVE with ARTPOP on my speakers...it sounds beautiful.....very much love it conceptually, thematically....intense, insane, colour....fantastic!

I give the album 9.5/10 practically perfect....really would have loved it to be longer....like what if Tea, Princess High/Die, Brooklyn Nights were on it for example? But i love it.

Jewels &Drugs sounds fantastic on blast.....i can visualise kinda Street graphics an coastlines with it. The productions are so spaced out and refreshing and sci-fi clinical i really love that .

for me it goes...

Aura - 9.5/10
VENUS - 9.5/10
g.u.y - 9/10
SeXXX Dreams - 10/10
Jewels & Drugs - 9/10
MANiCURE - 9/10
Do What U Want - 9.5/10
ARTPOP - 10/10
SWINE - 10/10
Donatella - 10/10
Fashion! - 9/10
Mary Jane Holland - 10/10
Dope - 9.5/10
gypsy - 10/10
Applause - 8/10

overall a close to perfect Pop/Rave/Rockin/Techno Blockbuster of an album and one of my definite favourites of the year....and truly feel it will grow more and more with time too . So so so please to finally own it.

Oh I forgot about the song Artpop! I do really like that one...I think it's instinct to join in every time she sings "artpop". Oh and of course, I do love Applause
