and assist the album further ...Akerlund is directing people are debating whether it is g.u.y or indeed VENUS either way they would be a great smash...we just NEED them on radio.I love the album and the music and the visuals they paint....so many talented fans out there have created great videos for her sonvs...just wish the effort went into the team and the videos....seriously missing her rpesence has to be said but alas...we shall of coruse see...i am just gald it is being widespread she is doing somethinv! just hope we get to see it is all

For me, ARTPOP is her most experimental record, I feel it has a lot of different sounding tracks which is great for an album. I sometimes feel that DS is an exception from the rest of the forums and general opinions. People on twitter for example seem to name their favorite songs etc without slagging Gaga down like in the main music forum here.
The best produced tracks (and overall the best songs of the album) have to be: -Aura -Sexxx Dreams (some could argued it's become "crammed" with the added "you were in my" parts) -ARTPOP -Mary Jane Holland (amazing production). |

Hopefully I'll get tickets for this!
I've never been to the o2 before, are seated cheaper than standing? What's the better option? I'm actually on a budget too but have to make allowances lol |

To be honest I don't find ARTPOP that experimental of an album in terms of new sounds, but I think for Gaga it's definitely a step away (or at least songs like JnD are) from what she usually does, and is definitely eclectic in terms of genre.
I'm happy Akerlund is directing, as I think he brings out the best in her ideas and is an experienced video director so hopefully can stop her from throwing everything into the video all at once. I'm also happy that GUY is the rumoured new single - though if it were gypsy that would also be fine for me. One thing is certain though, she definitely has to get her sh** together if she wants to carry on being at the top of the mainstream game. If she doesn't, that's also fine - but she needs to decide what she wants. I have absolutely no doubt that when at her best, Gaga is at the top of the game. But somethings gone wrong in recent years and she needs to reconnect with the public and not just hole herself away with the LM. |

I really cannot at her screwing up two eras in a row. She is clearly not as sharp as she led everyone to believe.
No video for almost 6 months, lack of memorable performances, wasting high profile promo spots on Dope and the God awful Venus. The era is in a horrible position right now and she thinks G.U.Y. is the appropriate song to get things back on track? This woman...

after loving the 'art pop album' - i have finally come to a track list that I just adore and can play over and over again
my ideal track list would be 1. Artpop 2. Sexx dreams 3. Venus 4. GUY 5. Fashion! 6. Donatella 7. Applause 8. Swine 9. Aura 10 DWUW 11. Mary jane Holland 12. Gypsy 13. Dope and my best news is that i got tickets to see 'art rave' ...so it won't be my first tour missed after all.... so happy!!!

Apparently LQ snippets of a Gaga song called 'Brooklyn Nights' have leaked, with a full HQ version due to leak in due course.
However (and this is genuinely what I read) if we are to download these snippets/leak, we could all be arrested LMFAO. I'm being serious! Apparently its an act of criminal activity, so so far, only a small minority of fans have heard the snippets. |

Well fair enough really. She isn't ready for us to hear the songs, it can damage her livelihood if it get's out early. Prince and Madonna have sued fans I think for doing that, so I think all artists are starting to get wary to it. Gaga wouldn't want to sue a fan, but she has to protect her work, and it'll be her record label acting anyway, not her.
The fans really need to chill with the hype. Just wait and see what she's doing and let her do it in her own time, rather than always trying to ruin the surprise. |

Shame she isn't performing at the BRITs tonight. Last time was in 2010. Loved that performance though.

Brilliant performance. I wasn't keen on the one with Elton John but loved the swinefest version and this one

i have loved all 4 live performances of 'art pop' - swinefest, art rave, muppets with elton john and now on Jimmy Fallon. It was my fave song at the swinefest ...and it continues to be a strong fave from the album.... just think the album version could have been extended a little.

I love the tack but it stays pretty much at the same level all thorough. I always thought the album version should have been longer and built up to more of a crescendo at the end which is oddly enough what she does when she sings it live |

Shame Gaga didn't win the BRIT but hopefully she'll win something next year or even perform. I have to say I am also kinda glad Katy Perry didn't win it either because I don't think her past 12 months musically have been that good, a string of disastrous performances and nothing too great since 'roar'. I think Lorde deserved this one (or Janelle Monae in my personal opinion).

She needs to release Artpop as a single and make a really good music video for it. No silly costumes or looks in it either.

The third single is and is likely to be G.U.Y
Here are some shoots (the first link) from the music video: 1. http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/85574107.html 2. http://www.gigwise.com/news/88601/la...on-video-shoot Also, it has been rumoured that the tracklist for Artpop: Part Two album has leaked although I would take this rumour with a pinch of salt. |

So will the 'Do What U Want' video ever see the light of day then? Seems a shame if not as its easily her strongest single of the era IMO

and what is the rumoured artpop part 2 tracklist rumour? If she did release a 'art pop vol 2' in the next month it would be a huge surprise.
I'm currently re-watching 'art pop' promos and previous tours and I am so looking forward to the 'art rave'. |

I downloaded a fan-made put together Gaga acoustic EP, there's some great ones in there.
Particularly her 2010 BRITs dedication of 'telephone' to Alexander Mcqueen, that was lovely. Also, not intentional, but something quite moving about 'bad romance' acoustic, it wasn't in full, mainly the chorus. But lovely, really different. |
