Well there is also that aspect and tbh id love her to really take that step on her own terms rather than being forced by Interscope tbh. I mean if she is saying her next record is gonna be "immature" and the anti-born this way then i expect truly outrageous stuff with hints of her music to date and some new sounds and territories explored to.

Not Redone doing safey songs, not DJ Brownstain doing and retreading the same ground, not David guetta on there, no Calvin Harris bandwagon jumping etc. for the sake of radio airplay etc.....but as i say as stuff is slowly unveiled we will get a feel for the album and era as a whole.

And like i said...i did love the Kraftwerk style of Hooker which was his right? So if they play with that style....maybe...just maybe

Judging from the context, I'd say by "anti-BTW" and "lack of maturity" she means that it isn't as preachy and serious. There's inevitably going to be intelligence, theme and artistry there, it's still Gaga. She's probably just going to let go, judging by how more relaxed she's been of late.

We know she's worked with ZEDD, DJWS, Fernando and there's rumours of RedOne and DeadMau5. Plus, DJWS's hint that we we'll be surprised by who produced the lead single...which to me implies we don't know all the producers yet.

I'm expecting a lot of electro/house with this line up.

I do see what you mean...and Deadmau5 would kinda make sense knowing what we know with "personal digs" to fuel fan wars (seriously who gives a toss) but then again it maybe rumours just because it would make sense lol :sleep:

But by that analogy i do think Electronic music and House may be a forefront which will be very interesting indeed. Maybe stemming out from Dance In The Dark, Hooker and Schiesse.

You know, I want Gaga to go and find some underground producers to work with...

For me personally id love her to adapt to her piano....utilise organic instruments and make on full on old skool Pop recording...you know like take influence from her...erm..influences and just go all out and translate it into current Pop music.

I'd really like Gaga to take her piano skills further, the piano-heavy songs tend to be the ones that Gaga writes solely and you can hear her emotions and every word. I'd love for Gaga to build upon this and make it into a pop/dance/whatever song and still keep her own lyrics because like I said her sole-writing credits seem to be the most lyrical.

I wonder how much input Gaga actually has when it comes to lyrics and production.

But that is very true...i mean sure she can bring uptempo into it...which is what i mean...i mean like for example the way Madonna, MJ, Prince and Springsteen for their 80s recordings the way they utilised organic instrumentals from live sessions and brought it into more studio sessions and adapted them still maintaining the live instrumentals but having all this extra production to make it bombast.

Thats where i feel Pop music now and the Popstars of today really need to regain focus...we need more experimentation in the genre tbh.

i mean why not bring in the saxophones again...add some heavy guitars, violins and inject some snare drums and synthesisers??

I doubt this will be the album that we see PianoGa in full force. They're seemingly trying to recapture casual interest, and that wouldn't be how to do it.

Saying that though, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last electro/house/dance album for a while. Once she's recaptured interest, she's going to have to take things to a different level so as to remain an innovative artist.

For me, I want an album of stadium rock fist-pumpers, Elton John-esque honky tonk piano uptempos, intimate piano moments and melodramatic 80s power ballads. Very Cher, very Elton, very Springsteen, very KISS. That would have been the natural progression after BTW, for me.


I doubt she's working with Deadmau5 because of a Twitter scuffle with Madonna. He's friends with ZEDD.

I still think the "surprise" will be Gaga herself.

This has all really changed my expectations, originally I thought this album will be more like The Fame Monster, but from what she's said it seems like it could be more like The Fame, I think she knows she needs to get back casual listeners therefore I can see why things may stay more on surface

I think it will be a bit of a mix of both. I think it will generally be the same types of songs as Telephone and Paparazzi in sound. Immature doesn't equal no depth and this has made me dead excited for the new album

Definitely. It was a wonderful album, but all the focus was on her and the "Fame kills" theme, then suddenly it shifts to a very big, preachy album. Casual fans saw her as a fun, crazy girl with her uptempo songs and then suddenly she was being an influence on people. That's not a bad thing, but the change was very drastic in such a short space of time.

I suppose she should have taken more time to get the general fans of music to take her more seriously as an artist before having such a "Love yourself" album.

I love her Fame side and I love her "BTW" side, but the change between the two was far too quick and caused some damage.

If you class TF & TFM as one album then BTW should have been the 3rd with what we are getting next as The 2nd

It is funny as it feels like a timeline gone awry...i mean she started off in these clubs, danicing to Metal and Disco songs etc and she started off playing smaller gigs in small venues too yet her debut album with The Fame was an Electropop/Dance Pop album based on the Electropop trend 2007 - 2010 (RIP) and then we get a natrual "mid-quel" with TFM which actually feels like the next step on...Electropop, House and an injection of some Latin and some samples.

And then we get Born This Way which to me suits the "gaga" concept but at the same point is so drastic and differing which is why i think it confused a lot of people and was criticised a fair bit too.

And tbh i dont know about this Deadmau5 thing i mean it kinda continues the "snobbery" around Starlight, White Shadow etc it seems to close to home in a sense...not threatening just kinda blandly typical...damn Twitter :sleep:

But at the same point i feel this album will be the biggest risk...they knew Born This Way...even if it was the worst album ever would sell several million regardless based on the success of her last album/singles....but with this one and her wanting to channel back to her launch audience and mainstream as much as she can it will be very interesting to see and hear what the next step will be.

And if it is Electro/House then i would love it done right at the very least.

nothing really its just their posts and comments and digs toward Madonna i found very unnecessary over the past few years via social networking and then it being coincidental they worked with gaga fired all arms of fury over the interweb tbh.

Nothing personal but i just find them vile personalities that should be about the music first and foremost as opposted to stirring sh!t up tbh :sleep: but each to their own...the world still spins, i just find it needless.

Plenty of people don't like Madonna, though. We're talking about a few mouthy straight guys and metal heads, I'm sure if all of Gaga's team (creatives, stylists, dancers etc) spoke up it'd paint a different picture.

Well that is true but its all very intra personal and pathetic tbh....and i can base a lot on someone from what they say tbh...i mean it paints an overall outlook on someone and their attitudes tbh.

It's true yeah I'm sure a lot of Gaga's team are inspired by Madonna it's just a mouthy few who think they're jewels of the crown, now I know Gaga can't stop them from saying such things as they're people entitled to opinions but she chooses to ignore it and rise above it. Plus there's no free rides in the Haus it seems and Gaga will outgrow most of them within the next five years just like Madonna and all those before her have done with their own teams so they'll find themselves nowhere
