I think it really is
I personally loved BTW but can understand why some felt underwhelmed. I always thought it was so strong in quality but too deep for casual listeners to understand (Judas, Electric Chapel, Bloody Mary etc).

I think it'd make a statement about where Stefani ends and Gaga begins, if nothing else. Plus, because everyone is going more extreme with their hair...going 'normal' would be interesting.
p.s. Gaga followed Madeon (young French electronic producer/DJ) on Twitter. Guetta said "But actually I know for a fact - because I know who she's working with now - that the next album is going to be absolutely crazy. He's someone really good, a young kid."

It'd be really interesting if she's done this in some part to challenge the perception of who/what "Lady Gaga" is.
I mean, people have a hard time comprehending where Stefani ends and Lady Gaga begins, they get caught up in the 'persona' and think it's all fake because in their head the former is a brunette 17 year old playing the piano and the latter is the blonde icon who wears meat. They look different and have a different name so it's difficult to connect them.
So, it'll be interesting if she continues the Gaga schtick but with the brunette Stefani hair. A very visual way of saying that there is no separation.

when Madonna dyed her hair dark (LAP, late-ROL and AL) she really was on attack mode with it...always epic!
When Britney went dark (Blackout) she was ready to break herself out there and lay herself down.
gaga (who i like has a different shade of brown hair which is really lovely looking!) looks like she is breaking down her identity, like Taboo said! distinguishing between the eprsona and the real gaga and showing there really is no true difference, will be interesting,this is what i wanted to see her do tbh.

There's deffo something going on with Azealia. In my mind it's either a collaboration for Gaga's album or opening the BTWB for the NA leg.

Considering Kendrick and Cher's collaborations are on their respective albums, and we haven't had it confirmed that Elton is 100% on Gaga's or his own album...we could be left with just Azealia. Possibly Britney/Beyonce too for the PapaTele arc.

It would be interesting if she's going for a sort of mafia/underworld/urban theme/sound. I wonder whether she'll branch away from dance and into a completely different sound. From her 'less mature' comment I doubt she'll lose that sound completely as it's what she loves and part of who she is.

I can't imagine what he could reveal that's incriminating. We've seen her without clothes on, we know about her sexuality, what's there to reveal?
