When is the EMAs show?

I moved to Leipzig today to start my masters degree next week - i'm in the middle of unpacking now and the first song I played was of course Gaga had to christen the flat lol! It seemed fitting to play Scheisse in the country it was written, not sure what my neighbours make of me though!!

I'm guessing she smoked the spliff in the LoveGame bit? She smoked a cigarette during that song at Twickenham, and somebody wrote that it was thrown up on stage? I don't think weed is a huge deal, especially in Amsterdam - and let's face it Gaga's tour is not a family show in the sense that she swears, dances provocatively and wears revealing clothes - but I do think that drugs themselves shouldn't be glorified and in this case, whilst I admire her honesty about her drug use, I think it should be done in private. Perhaps this is another step in her private in public plan?

It was after bad kids where she sits on the stage and has things thrown up and someone threw up the spliff

She lit it took a couple of puffs then threw it back

Like you I would prefer she didn't do some things but I guess she is just being herself which is what she tell everyone else to be

“Some magazines went and previewed the Kendrick Lamar album, which is out in October and features Gaga's vocals on the track 'Partynauseous'. In case people haven't seen, a little idea of what the song sounds like:

The Source

Quote:
“On the first cut "Partynauseous," which blared through the studio speakers, Sounwave handles the production. The track shows a more progressive sound from Kendrick's 2011 (The Source Magazine's Independent Album Of The Year) Section.80 release. Featuring none other than Lady Gaga whose voice is distorted (sounding like nothing she's ever put out) to keep from moving away from the albums main objective.”

Hip Hop n More

Quote:
“Kendrick introduced this record as his much talked about Lady Gaga collaboration. Neither the title nor the producer were mentioned. The beat on this comes in real smooth as Kendrick follows with his usual catchy vocal effect. This record has a Cali feel and we see it as potential single material. K.Dot repeatedly recites “B*tch don’t kill my vibe” which will likely to get stuck in listeners’ heads. Gaga on the hook is not what you’d normally hear on her Pop songs so fans should be excited to hear the final product. Her sound flowed really well with Kendrick’s killer verses and harmonizing. This is for sure to be a highlight on good kid, m.A.A.d city.”

Complex

Quote:
“Other features were just as unpredictable: Lady Gaga doing something that landed between rapping and singing but didn't really feel like either.”
”

Can't wait.

I like the sound of that!
Was it always meant to be on kendrick's album? Or was it rejected from hers? Cos perhaps its a little taster into ARTPOP....

Originally for ARTPOP. He heard the unfinished song and liked it, so she gave it to him IIRC.

More info:

Quote:
“The highly anticipated collaboration from Kendrick Lamar and mega pop star, Lady Gaga, is far from herlast collaboration with another Interscope rookie, Wale. This song is more of a Kendrick song than a Lady Gaga song, which should serve as a relief to those expecting another rendition of "Chillin."”

Quote:
“The song has a bluesy/jazz feel with some strong instrumentation from the unnamed producer on the record. The same voice altering feel that you get from the hook on "Cartoons and Cereal" is on this record with Gaga and K.Dot trading voices throughout the bridge and the hook. "I'm a sinner, I'm a sinner, please don't kill my vibe" the two chant throughout the record.”

Quote:
“Gaga also offers some mini-bars on the record but nothing to overtake the real star of the show, K. Dot. She is in more of a supporting role than a big feature and if you didn't know better, you would barely notice her on the track.”

Sounds like the song must have been pretty unfinished or Kendrick has developed it away a fair bit from the original.

It's awesome. Considering they just threw this together, I'm kinda impressed.

Can't wait for people to lose their shit thinking this is real if DS post it.

I saw your previous post on the MF thread - so fans just tweeted in lyrics to DJWS and Gaga recorded them? If this is true then i'm really laughing now! A brilliant piece of fun that's going to wind so many people up! It's on thatgrapejuice.net already and posters are losing it, thinking she's somehow dissing other artists LOL

I just logged on to hear Cake like Lady Gaga. It's so funny, yet quite brilliant. I'm actually laughing like a madwoman right now!

So now apparently she's pregnant?? Don't think even Gaga would smoke up if she was pregnant but I could be mistaken. I highly doubt it though - she's just working what her mama gave her!

Gaga's too much of a career driven woman to get pregnant now, not before a new era kicking in. She's just gained a bit of weight.

I don't think she'll have kids till after she's married anyway. She seems quite traditional like that.

I've always assumed she'd take a break at 30 (2016) to have kids tbh. That would allow her to stabilise her career with 5 albums under her belt. Plus, two more dance/pop albums (incl. AP) would be about right before taking an extended break and changing direction.

She looked great in London. I wouldn't put too much faith in some pictures from rubbish papers like the sun.

Great post - it made me ashamed that the story had even registered to be honest! I'm glad somebody in the media is sticking up for her and I hope she takes no notice.

What makes it worse is that apparently weight fluctuation can be caused by having lupus, which she's pretty heavily implied she has.

Regardless, she's said Taylor prefers her with more meat on her bones and I would much rather she eat to have enough energy to keep up with her schedule than starve herself to look thin. Apparently she was pretty unhealthy on TMB.

It just seems kinda moronic to me that we as a society complain so much about the pressure on young women in particular to be skinny, and unhealthily so - and that celebrities project a totally unattainable body image, yet when pictures of a famous woman are published where she looks bigger than is accepted we all jump on her and tear her to pieces. The same happened to Xtina and Britney when they put on some weight. Gaga was very skinny around the time of the BTW video and when I saw her live I thought she looked fantastic - much more at ease with herself.

I was reading the thread on the showbiz forum and was gobsmacked by what people were posting - fair enough if you don't like Gaga's music or theatrics - but some of the things they were saying, just judging her for her weight, I thought was disgusting.

Anyway, on a much lighter note - here is a silly Gaga-related video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2B8_a_VLAyU

It's some music college students, and they did the arrangements themselves as well as costume and choreography - made me giggle!

It's a shame people think and act like that, but it does say more about them. Gaga can lose the weight, but they'll still be shallow and hateful.

The funny thing is that Gaga is probably healthier than the vast majority of those having a go at her. In fact, she's probably healthier with the extra weight than she is without it. Her body looked very thin in the BTW video.

Just looking back at some past performances - really really loved her Bad Romance at X Factor when she sings in the bath, and sits at the toilet to play the piano. I don't see how people can think she doesn't have a sense of humour when she does that!

“The Born This Way Ball is Lady Gaga’s first tour since the release of her album Born This Way (Streamline/Konlive/Interscope), which has sold nearly 6 million copies worldwide since its release in May 2011. The album is the follow-up to back-to-back Grammy Award-winning albums 2009’s The Fame Monster, and 2008’s The Fame. Combined, The Fame and The Fame Monster have sold 15 million albums worldwide, while Lady Gaga’s hit singles have combined sales of over 90 million worldwide.”

Faaaaaaaaaaading.

Vince Herbert spills some tea:

- 6 million bottles in one week.
- Only perfume to do that well is Coco Chanel.
- They're building her career to be a part of history.
- She's worked with Kendrick Lamar because she wanted to help new artists.
- They've recorded about 6/7 songs for the album so far.
- Not sure if he was confused, but there's a Kendrick Lamar collaboration on ARTPOP too.
- He confirms that she's still putting money into her show.

6 million x ~$60 = $360,000,000 in one week.

There was talk of Gaga taking over Britney's $1.5 billion perfume empire, but I didn't really take that seriously until now.

FAME isn't even available in all markets yet.
