It always reminds me of a holiday spent in Malta many years ago. Rest in peace Donna, I spent many a long night dancing to your music in many a disco.

I forgot about Hot Stuff.

I had no idea she was ill either. She'll be missed.

Shocked and saddened on the news of Donna Summer's passing as didn't know that she had been battling cancer. Her version of State of Independence will forever be my favourite song of hers.

I would love I Feel Love to get back in the charts because of this. I would guess most youngsters who download these days may know it but wouldnt actually have it. It really is a timeless classic.

I agree! I've got this CD too and love it as well as the 12" Hits on CD2. The MacArthur Park Suite is such a powerful song.

What about 'This time I know its for real' - my true guilty pleasure growing up. I couldnt get enough of it and it introduced me to Donna. Soon after I discovered gems such as 'Dinner with Gershwin', 'Loves Unkind' etc. What a pioneer and a lovely lady it seems. Rest in peace.

Very sad news.

I Feel Love was one of those late 70s records that made you think "this is the future I'm listening to", and how true that turned out to be. Even listening to it now it still somehow sounds futuristic.

My favourite song of hers though is her version of State Of Independence.

RIP Donna.

My first favourite artist. I was a fan 35 years ago and I still adore almost all of the music she released between 1975 and 1983.

Like everyone it seems, I heard nothing about her being unwell and was shocked when I heard on the radio earlier that she'd died at the age of 63. I was lucky to see her in concert in the Royal Albert Hall c.1987.

She released so much timeless music with Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, dozens of classic tracks, plenty never appearing as singles and yet is only really remembered for a few songs by many.

I really can't believe she's gone.
