It's called the internet...

I understand the whole getting out there and doing a hard days work. But I think they should at least be able to use the internet for research purposes - in real life business that's what they'd do...

It seems incredibly time consuming when they end up on one of those treasure hunt style tasks, and they're running around spending half the day asking shop keepers if they stock something (and asking what it is too!).

This has been brought up every year, and the only answer seems to be that it makes more entertaining TV.

Exactly! It would be stupid if they had the Internet, both teams would know exactly what everything is and where to buy it cheapest and they could even ring and arrange their discount over the phone before arriving. They certainly wouldn't miss any items.

It's far more entertaining to see them running into randam shops and begging for a pound off.
