I think it sounds amazing, not a single one sounds bad. So far my favourites are 30 minute love affair, freedom, black & blue and when you're gone. Really can't wait for this!

Not sure what to make of it really
She has done an album with a sound I knew she would, but i fail to get that Cinematic vibe she has described it. Compare to what Lana and Marina have done this year, it doesn't feel cinematic but i could be proved wrong.

My only fav so far is 30 minute love affair which is amazing acoustic and I love the story behind it

I'm really let down by it, I really wanted another diverse album like her debut, it sounds in a similar genre to Lana Del Rey but its not as.. umm... strong? In the terms of production. I have a feeling this will be the biggest let down of the year. I loved the first album and she is a class live act but this just feels so predictable and I could even call it playing safe?

Definitely lacks the production values of Lana Del Rey and Emeli Sande.

Tbh I didn't notice the production at all because I was too focused on how much her voice has developed and strengthened, and how fantastic her melodies and lyrics were....after the Brits performance with Cee-Lo I did fear for her future, not now tho

Hideous Album sampler, what has happened to Paloma, this new era is just ALL WRONG! she is trying so hard to be unique and be this soo called REAL artist but this is just sounds horrible,

Ew I don't like the studio versions of 30 Minute Love Affair or Black & Blue. Acoustic versions are much better.

I'm not sure what to make of it really, the production sounds very clunky and all over the place. Her vocals sound very strong but I think Marina and Lana have done the whole 'cinematic' alternative theme etc better. It doesn't even sound very cinematic, and I really wanted some uptempos but it just seems like one long ballad album. Will reserve judgement until the full album comes out but Picking Up The Pieces, Just Be, Freedom and Blood, Sweat & Tears are pretty much the only tracks I like the sound of.

Her debut was very extravagent, a bit theatrical and quite big with production.
Her second is very stripped back but seems a three steps backawards than two steps forwards like most debuts usually do. Hmm, that is just my perception. Knowing me, i will likely go on to love it

I love Paloma but this sounds like a weak version of Born to Die by Lana Del Rey...I was worried as soon as she described the sound of the album that this would happen. Vocally she sounds amazing but as others have said its been done better already this year.

Hopefully it will at least perform as well as her debut!

I'm so glad I'm not alone with feeling let down by this sampler! Totally agree with the weaker Lana Del Rey comments, the production is rather minimal on many songs. Whats great about Lana Del Rey is her songs have great production and really stand out.

To add...

I'm thinking of selling my two Paloma tickets for Somerset House, 17th I think it is? PM me if you are interested and I will let you know if I decided to sell. Will offer them at face value.

I was actually thinking the exact same thing. I found the debut to be very theatrical, and I wasn't a huge fan. However, I'm liking the more subtle approach with this album. Black & Blue sounds amazing!

very disappointed...i can't hear any growth or direction with this album sampler i think the problem is, she hasn't pinpointed 'her' sound

I really like the sounds of it! Loved her debut and it's nice to hear her do something a bit different. Cannot wait for the album!

Her voice has grown so much! Her vocals are incredible on this sampler.
