Just going by the Marvel Facebook, when it comes to the Vs. Series, the public can vote on who should win. Right now voting is on for Red Hulk vs. Iceman. I dunno what to think about that, because lets face it, the Avengers are in the public eye right now

I think it's a good thing. I don't see why anybody would think it wasn't? Are you saying you think the votes might be weighted towards those in the current film? Because if you do, the only one who's appeared in the Vs series who has also appeared in the comics is Iron Man.
Also, the Vs comics are just a bit of fun on the side, they aren't going to influence the main plot line at all, I would imagine that's already been plotted and is currently being/has been written. |

It does bring into question Namor vs. Thing though, there is no way Thing would have won underwater so close to Atlantis

Well at the end of that issue it did say 'to be continued' so it's not like Thing out and out destroyed him.
If anything, it shows who's popular in Marvel right now. If every character who's recently appeared in the Avengers film wins a battle then at least that means the film has worked and has struck a chord with the audience. The real interesting battle will be The Black Widow. She's fighting some nobody from the xmen next issue, so it'll be good to see if the comic reading film watchers have taken a liking to her. |
