I wasn't doubting it was just a Barbie as KC mind blown like what

And i suppose in a roundabout way using cartoon characters etc can bring a lightness tot he tragedy whilst still retaining the underlying sadness i wonder if there will be an Amy one ?

Karen as a Barbie is also ironic. Karen had problems because critics laid into her about how she looked and she took it personally...and Barbie is the archetype of "what a woman should/could look like" American product! Although in reality its not.

Makes sense though for Human Nature! and the link into LAV as a ballad definitely...its very bittersweet as a performance.

I thought that but due to the sensitivity didn't want to mention the stick thin archetype of Barbie as frankly the perfect portrayal of KC searching for that elusive thing called perfection tis sad.

And boobs bum where next

That would have confused me if I had gone to school in the UK In some ways it's easier having the one exam board that deals with all the exams. It seems fairer IMO. I did my Junior Cert in 2006 and my Leaving Cert in 2008.

We also have a slightly different system for going to university. We have a "points" system where the student gets a certain amount of points based on their grade. Each university course is worth a certain number of points (say 400 for this case). There are also certain subjects needed at particular grades for some courses and if a student gets the required points and grades they will be able to do that course. We don't have to write personal statements or go for interviews either (except for art school where you have to present a portfolio or auditions for music courses). We don't have to submit predicted grades either.

What's everyone up to at the moment?

I think we can all guess.

I agree with your comment on the Karen Carpenter thing. Using a barbie could represent the image of beauty she had. Barbie is often used as an inaccurate portrayal of a womans body and beauty, often giving unrealistic expectations to young girls so by using it they could be representing the fact that Karen had an unrealistic and negative perception of what she needed to be to be deemed as beautiful. Or maybe I'm just over analysing it. lol.

We have points too its called UCAS you need them aswell as grades interview and personal statement.

And haha yes m we certainly can Sex book part two live in Hyde Park

And yes it that inaccurate portrayal of women that we push onto the world that leads to cases such as Karen so Barbie is a good representation.

Currently listening to Oasis though. I never cared for them much as a kid, although my mother did so I had an Oasis top that I was car sick all over on the way to Barmouth. I proper loved that top though, it was orange and a crop top. Pointless story for you there lol.

Edit now I wouldn't wear a band shirt of a band I didn't like though ahaha.

The predicted grades, personal statement and interview are the things we don't have here in Ireland. Lucky us

Hey MiMi

And she is the only popstar i dislike as she is about as generic and talentless as they come she excels at nothing more than being a media whore.

And as Teenage Dream era is ending im having a Katy Perry retrospective pop as it should be
