Ibought a £15 iTunes card today I entered and redeemed it only to find they said my balance was £1.03 how can they take £13.97 from the card before I purchase anything. As far as I know you can't go into debt with I tunes so any ideas why they have given me a wrong credit I believe if you phone them it costs a mint any advice please

Thank you for the answer but when I tap on STORE all I get is the store I can't see anything that says purchases or view my account sorry if I seem thick

In the past I have found that my iTunes credit does not always update to the latest amount. Try checking you credit in iTunes on your computer and on an iPad/iPhone if you can.
Also try buying something that is free, (single of the week).

iTunes do have debt system. that happened to me once when I purchased a movie with a paypal account that had no money in it by accident. iTunes automatically took money out of the balance once i redeemed the gift card

That is what happened to me I have since found out my bank issued a new card and I tunes took my last download cd from an I tunes gift card Idid not realise they would let you download anything if your bank card was not up to date.

This is most likely the reason as it happen to my self. I already knew my account was in arrears as I had lost my bank card and had canceled it. It was only a few pounds so I bought a gift card from the coop just so I coud still buy some apps and clear the balance.
