FGS Will won it!...Aiden went out in 9th place!. If he sold 10 copies he would have done well..

I think it's doing great so far ! Currently at 49 and it's only been available for 14hrs. That position on iTunes also doesn't include anyone who's bought the EP rather than the single separately.
Due to only finishing 9th, I think he's having to earn the exposure rather than having been given it automatically. There are several online / magazine articles due out this week, another Radio 1 interview and a Channel 4 TV appearance. There are also MTV & NME interviews / performances to come, so loads of exposure over the next week to move him up the chart ready for next weekend and the official charts
To compare with other singles released today:
Rihanna & Coldplay = No 6
DJ Fresh & Dizzee = No 15
Nelly Furtado = No 31
I can't see Marcus Collins in the Top 200

I'm living in the US right now but fortunately can access my UK iTunes so was happy to wake up and find the single on my iPad. It has been worth the wait, so pleased for him and the track is great!
Couldn't agree more with the bit in bold, it's really self-defeating!

I think some peoples expectations on Chart Position have been a little high, probably due to a lack of understanding of how it all works and the numbers involved etc (mine included if I'm honest). My concern over Chart Position is purely in relation to ensuring Aiden gets to keep making music

I noticed on Buzzjack that they were saying that it's an unusually slow Sunday for new releases. Do we think that the Jubilee may be having an effect?

Spose there are a lot of people out in London today, plus lots of street parties. Could be a lot of people away for the weekend as well, being a Bank Holiday and all that
I think he is doing as well as he could given the lack of tv promotion and limited radio support. Most people that heard the song like it's just not enough people know about it.

I think this is a big factor. I can imagine it will slowly increase at the week continues. But alas, I'm still on Cloud 9 knowing that I can listen to his song anytime now!
Plus, considering he has had little promotion, he's doing quite well

This ^^^ Completely agree. I have virtually killed so many people! I will always support Aiden, regardless of his sales. As long as he makes music that I can enjoy and relate to, thats all that matters!

Can confirm there's definitely no CD single. Was out in the end today anyway so checked in HMV and indeed there are no singles whatsoever anymore ! So unless something is released as a special thing in online places or such, I don't suppose there will ever be a CD single!??!!
On which note, does anyone have a good resolution image of the single art? (Preferably a bit bigger than the one that's Aiden's profile photo...) 'Cause I might make me own single (if in fact I can be bothered to perform this task... !!)
Never fear in any case, HMV venture was not wasted: I bought 5 other CDs! Keep me away from the music shops, haha!!

I love all of them, I don't think i can pick a favourite. I've been listening to all of them on a loop, if one had stood out as a fave, I think I'd have stopped and repeated it.
Can't believe i've got 6 versions of one song ,the actual single, the 4 remixes, and acoustic. Something for every mood
