Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing, the o2 Birmingham website seems to show that they have Dappy that day

Slightly concerned about this one as it doesn't seem to fit with the 'small shows' Aiden's talked of doing

Dappy seems to be doing a whole tour of the o2 arenas, so I can't see that's wrong. It says doors open at 6pm and the gig finishes at 10pm. Could Aiden be performing as a support act?

The o2 academy B'ham has three rooms,
Dappy is playing in the big one that night as his tickets are for stalls and balcony.
The smaller rooms don't have balcony's, it is possible for Aiden to be playing the same date but in a different room.
(every time i've been to a gig at the O2 academy B'ham there have been more than one on at a time)

According to seetickets he would be playing in room 2 which holds 600 people.

Ah, maybe it is genuine then

Think I'll steer clear of that one though, since it's for all ages.

So today finally happend after 2 years of waiting It feels amazing to know I have paid money for an Aiden Grimshaw single, although it seems like most of you are enjoying the remixes so I may have to download the ep too.

I also love love love the acoustic version, maybe more than the original but they are both so good in their own way.

Do we think there is any truth in the Birmingham gig? Might be worth a little trip if it's genuine

I say I won't go cos of the all ages thing, but if an o2 gig appears in London around the same time, I'll probably be right in there trying to get tickets

It'll be a few weeks after the album release so he may sing all the songs we haven't heard yet

No bands venture here - at least mostly they play Manchester instead since 'tis a bigger music scene and it's so close, yet too far for me even there unless it's in free time days. Even Liverpool is a bit of a mission for me on a normal night time!

I really hope the single does well, for Aiden. But, that said, the way he's been promoted I seriously can believe (as I'd always hoped) it's album sales that count anyway 'specially since I know you can't even buy a CD single now!! !!!!!!!!!

I suppose we could work out what we've heard from these now! I don't have time to listen to do so now, but obviously Is This Love, Curtain Call, Misty Eye... I'm sure one of them has "Hold On" in a lot so is that one we've heard? Which is the slower track? The Island since it's in the acoustic ones too or Breathe me (since it's not!!?!) Chokehold in the acoustic but not in the normal tracks too! I'm zooming out of the door, but how real does it seem with this!

Wowzers, they all look like great tracks. I must say, the two tracks that stand out for me is 'Breathe Me' and 'Poachers Timing.' For some strange reason, 'Poachers Timing' reminds me poached eggs, so unless Aiden is singing about the time he screwed up his poached eggs, I don't know what to expect!

Exciting! I'm going to pre-order now!

I assume Chokehold is the "throw me line/give me some rope that I can hang with" one (sorry those words probably aren't right, but you know the one I mean)?

We've heard Nothing At All, and is Poacher's Timing Track 5 or one of the other gig songs?

I thought he next line in had Poacher in it and thought I'd misheard, I can't listen to it now.

Is Breathe Me a cover of the Sia song, do we think? It's a beautiful song but it always makes me cry because they played it over the final scenes of Six Feet Under, so hearing Aiden sing it should provoke an... uh... interesting reaction in me!

I think 'Track 5', the slow one, is Poachers Timing.

I listened to the song again, and I think it is Poachers Timing - which has made me all excited, but slightly disappointed that the song is not about him screwing up his poached eggs

I wondered this too - it's quite an unusual title so I'm not sure if he'd have made a different song with the same name? But then again, look at The Flood - didn't expect that to be a title of multiple songs either, so I guess all we can do is wait for the time being lol.

I think if it's a cover of the Sia song - it will be absolutely incredible. Just imagine how his voice would sound singing that! In a way, I hope it is a cover Which I never thought I'd say about a song on Aiden's album lol. I could definitely make an exception for Breathe Me by Sia though!

Just can't wait to hear the whole album now....but we're already in June so not too long to go.

Misty Eye acoustic? Yes please! And I think my second favourite track is This Island (if that is that one!?!) thus I'm very happy indeed about the acoustic version there'll be on the deluxe album. Still lots of lovely surprises for us too!

I think I've heard him say a few times in interviews that the whole album is original material which would mean no covers?

Then again I remember the same thing being said about Matt's album and of course that had the Biffy cover on it.

Don't think there are any covers on the album. I'm sure the press release for Is This Love said he had co wrote all the songs on misty eye.
