I've just realised that Aiden's new account as been verified, which is hopefully a good sign.
It's gone a bit quiet since all that drama, but it's good to see on twitter articles about his 'rebrand'. Yet, I would like to hear more from Aiden, but I have a feeling that he won't have as much freedom on his social networks like he did previously.

Aiden's latest song:

http://www.thebeatjuice.com/listen/2...n-the-cleaner/

Short Digital Spy write up about it here.

Seems another big step into the electro genre.

I personally quite like it, this particular one reminds me of some of Crystal Castles earlier stuff, the artwork of the song too.

This is very, very strong in my opinion. When I watched the video of Aiden doing this one live I was a bit shocked as it sounded terrible to me. But now I can listen to the studio version of it I'm realising just how difficult it would be to sing, and he didn't sound on form during that showcase so I'm pretty reassured to hear it.

I love the 80s feel to it. It doesn't just sound like someone attempting to replicate 80s music, it sounds like someone bringing 80s music bang up to date.

If this was another newish artist, without the XF albertross, bringing a song of this quality out, the buzz would be huge. I genuinely hope Aiden starts getting some recognition for what he's managing to produce.

I have to 100% agree.

It's quite exciting to see another side of Aiden also. He's evolving as an artist.

I really, really like the chorus to this but I feel his voice is so caved in on the verses However i've only listened the once so hopefully it will grow on me. I am glad that we might be starting to get some new music from him though as it's been flipping ages!

I find his recent stuff very.. weird but I kinda like it.

I loved his debut album, can't wait to hear more from him.

I was a bit ambivalent towards Satisfy Me and The Way We Are. I missed the connection to the voice. But this has just blown me away. I love it. I love it so much that it has made me listen to Satisfy Me and The Way We Are more and understand them a little bit better.

There were five songs at Under The Bridge, weren't there, and he said in the Twitter Chat beforehand that they would all be on the EP, do you think that will have changed now that the release was pushed back so much?

Have we had any confirmation what label these are on?

And that's a helluva improvement on the artwork! I prefer sideways train waiting to that snake picture.

Loving the new song. Granted, I had to listen to it a few times to really get into it, but I am loving the vibe!

I absolutely adore The Cleaner too , Love the beat to it and it's easier to listen to than Satisfy me

Have to say that after listening to the new songs a few more times i'm liking them. I think I was sceptical at first because the songs are completely different from anything I have come to expect from Aiden. I decided if this was a new artist and I was listening to their music for the first time then I would really love it.

Would love to go but I'm completely broke at the moment and it will just be too much with travel and overnight stay costs.

I do hope he does some other gigs in places outside of London soon!

I'm guessing this ep is going to be download only and not released on cd. It's a shame if it is because I like having a cd.

Fire & Ice is definitely my favourite from the new EP so far.

Anyone going to the Leeds gig for Children In Need tomorrow?

I'm pleasantly surprised. I saw a YouTube video of it live & I didn't get to the end because I disliked it so much but the studio version is actually pretty good

Just thought I'd undo my previous negativity a little by stating that on first listen I do like Fire & Ice. Thank goodness. At last: we can hear Aiden's voice & he sounds great on this track. That is all.

Aiden's latest track has premiered on Popjustice. It's the best one from the EP. A bit of a "banger" if you will. http://www.popjustice.com/songs/aiden-better-man/

Edit: The track is "Better Man" by the way.

Oh this is good! The early Killers stuff is springing to mind, albeit a bit more dancey.

Well that makes 3 songs from the EP that I love, and 2 I really like. So that's a relief!

Probably a stupid question but isn't the EP meant to go on sale today? Can't see it on iTunes and as Aiden hasn't tweeted a link for it, I'm not sure if it is today or not?

For those who haven't seen yet - download the EP for free by subscribing to the mailing list here: http://aidenmusic.us7.list-manage.co...&id=702a73220e (may be for a limited time only. It says it's for the first 500 people but that might be a sales pitch, I'm not sure.)

And the video for Satisfy Me has premiered on Hunger TV: http://www.hungertv.com/feature/aiden-satisfy/

I can't watch it yet but it certainly looks atmospheric from the description!

I can't stop listening to Better Man, it's SO AMAZING. I agree - it reminds me of early Killers music too! I was too late for the free download - but i'm listening to the EP on soundcloud now. Love it

Seems that some people who didn't get there in time are a bit annoyed with the download limit thing, understandably. I hope that they can put it back up on the website to maybe download for a nominal fee. It seems a shame to deprive genuine fans of it.
