Panasonic DMR-EX77EB Help Please

Having lost all hope of navigating to anywhere sensible on the Panasonic Website (designed to do anything but allow you to speak to anyone who might even listen) I wondered if anybody on this forum might know if it is possible to use an app for the ipad that works with this networked and less than two year old PVR?

I don't think it's possible to connect this DVDR to a network, I had a quick look at the manual which was for the EX77 (no EB) and that had no network connections so unless the EB means that it's networked then it will be a no go.

It's connected to my network and uses it to connect to Picasa Web Albums and such like. Windows 8 can also see files on on it so I'm pretty much convinced that as far as that is concerned it is on the network.
It's just that the current app can't find it and I suspect that Panasonic don't really like supporting anything much older than a year. Evidence? I have a much older Panasonic PVR which had a minor sound fault. A lot of people reported it at the time and Panasonic promised a fix via a download. I actually had this promise, in person, from their UK base in the days when you could speak to them. Long story short, no update ever became available.

How have you networked a Panasonic DMR-EX77EB? It does not have any means to connect to a network as far as I can see. So are you sure that is the right model number?

Using the CAT 5 socket on the rear and connecting it to the switch I have behind the HiFi Rack - also have a SONY BLURAY and TiVo connected in the same way and all of them have apps which work just fine.

Now - I've just checked with Network Magic and that shows it as a DMR-XW380 and calls it a Digital Jukebox, Sorry if I have wasted anybody's time.
