It's Britney Spears. No matter how bad she is, she wont be dropped half way through.

She is being paid too much to be dropped mid way through, if if anything they will make it seem like she quit after her first season or two. That is if she doesn't work out on the show.

True and surely Britney's management team and lawyers have secured her the $15 million fee regardless of whether they fire her or not which I doubt they would unless she is a complete train wreck. However there probably will be some clauses that if she fails to turn up or is a no show then her fee could be rescinded.

Don't think Tweedy and Britney can be compared. In the states Britney no matter what she does is legendary. Tweedy was dropped after two weeks, because she had the persona of a pop princess, but no creativity likeability or status. Britney is a "Teenage Brand" that has hardcore fans. Cowell is never going to let her go.

if britney drops halfway through i know for a fact that it will be her choice and not simon cowells. there is no way that he will be stupid enough to drop britney spears!. she is the biggest signing of a reality show judge on any platform EVER!

I have always felt something very strange about this. Britney's interviews are so awkward thesedays and half the time she still looks out of it. How she will work full time as a judge for weeks on end really does remain to be seen I hope she wasn't hired in the hope of having a breakdown just for the sake of pulling in ratings.

Britney is also known in the US. Cheryl was not.

Fox have paid a lot of money for Britney and so they will really look after their investment. I suspect she won't do a lot of mentoring though and her category won't see a lot of her.

She will just sit there and look pretty, cry a little, not give a lot of critical feedback. Perform her new single towards the end of the series... cushty.

Even if Britney doesn't exceed people's expectations (I say exceed, because clearly people are stuck in the past and don't expect much) she would still be a ratings winner. She could say nothing at all and do great.

The only reason Cowell convinced fox to put Tweedy on was because he fancied her. No-one in America knew who Tweedy was and they still don't, atleast with Britney she's an international star that is loved by millions.

This.

The same thing applies for Demi Lovato, she'll bring in hurds of teenage viewers.
