Am I right in thinking LAPD is Los Angeles Police Department?

Wouldn't surprise me if the police were involved with his murder, 911 anyone?

As much a fan of Broomfield as I am, he does tend to be interested in stirring things up a bit.

He's considered to be quite a divisive character in the industry.

He gets quite a few doors shut on him in every sense of the word

I agree, I love his work but sometimes he does tend to stir it then play the innocent. I also find myself having more questions than answers at the end of some of his films.

Agreed, I guess it's what makes his work what it is.

I feel he tends to 'burn' his contributors, the vast majority feel that he's been dishonest to them, I can certainly see why they feel that way too.

It's a shame, as he's very good at what he does, but he's really an outsider in the industry & not more the reasons he'd like you to think.

Yes I agree. I think he can sometimes be quite manipulative. I was watching the one on Aileen the other day and he kept pushing her even though she said on more than one occasion she wasn't going to mention a specific thing again. She then swore at him and he acted the innocent. I suppose that is how he gets what he wants/needs for his films though so I have to commend him for that. He did it a lot on the Heidi Fleiss one too.

Yes the Aileen doc was a classic example, I'm not surprised that Sarah Palin didn't go anywhere near him !.
