I'm really pale and can't find a good foundation!
Hi ladies,
I've tried just about every brand out there and even the lightest shades of foundation are too orange for me. I splashed out on some foundation from MAC last week thinking I was just using cheap and crappy products but even the lightest shade I could find is too orange! Are there any brands which offer foundation for particularly pale people?! Does anyone know anything thanks

Have you tried Dainty Doll? It's a range especially for pale skinned people. Not sure if she runs it or just puts her name to it but Nicola Roberts is the face of the brand.
It's on Boots website |

Barry M do a white foundation, you could try mixing that with another foundation. It's about £4 for a tube.
ETA: It's £6.19 http://www.barrym.com/foundation-creme ETA again: This is supposed to be good and it doesn't look orange https://www.lush.co.uk/product/238/J...our-Supplement They have another light colour too. |

I'm quite pale and I find the MAC Studio Tech foundation in shade NW15 a good match for my skin tone. I know there are paler shades in the range. I know you said you've tried MAC, but it might be worth going to your nearest counter and having a look.

I have the same problem too. I also struggle to make it last during the day. It looks good for about an hour then after that it starts to go sticky as the day progresses. Even if I lightly dab at my face with powder and then brush off the excess powder with a kabuki brush a couple of times through out the day, it still goes sticky and I end up looking really heavily made up. With the exception of the foundation, the only other make up I wear is mascara and either a light coloured lipstick or lipgloss.
I suffer from an extreme form of Anaemia and I'm exceptionally, exceptionally pale to the point that my skin is virtually transparent. I have no choice but to wear foundation otherwise people stop and stare at me in the street and ask me if I'm dying of a terminal illness. I hate the bloody stuff, but I won't leave the house unless I'm wearing it. I won't even answer the door if I'm not wearing foundation. Not out of vanity, but out of fear. It's about 'fitting in' and trying to look as 'normal' as possible for me. I tried the mineral powders because I thought they would be better for my skin and would give a more natural look, but they're so sheer that I have to put a fair amount on just to get any decent coverage. If I moisturise my face and then put it on (like you're supposed to), I end up using less powder but within an hour I look really, really waxy. Far worse than I do with regular liquid foundation. I've tried everything on the market. Currently using Max Factor's Lasting Performance foundation. It's ok, but it doesn't last for very long before it starts going sticky. My skin won't tan and I've tried fake tan and it never takes to my skin.

Illamasqua. Their palest shade is white.
http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/produ...ase-foundation I've had a bottle of shade 4 for just about 9 months and I'm just at the stage of cutting off the top to get the last dregs out. |

Do you need one? I've never found my perfect colour match so have given up, despite what clinique, etc have tried to make me believe.
I have good colour naturally so would only be to make my skin look better, hide dark circles, blemishes. I find a combo of concealer, and translucent powder helps, with a bit of blusher. |

What about No7 Intelligent Colour Foundation in 01 Light? http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Intellig...ndation_15520/ It adapts to your skin tone and isn't too heavy. My sister, who is very pale, uses that one whilst I use 02 - best foundation either of us have ever found.

Have you tried Revlon colorstay foundation? Revlon colorstay is the best foundation i have ever used and they do have a big colour range. I am second lightest in the foundation and for me, i am quite pale, this is pale. Also they do have dry to normal and combo to oily foundation types which is even better, hope this helps

OP, why don't you go down to your nearest massive Boots (or similar) where there are loads of make up counters and test everything? My friend had a similar problem once, so we went to our Boots superstore and she went to nearly every counter and had her foundation done and re-done at each counter so she could make a proper decision. I can't remember the brand she ended up with, but it was definitely worth it as her skin has looked flawless ever since!

Try the new Benefit Oxygen liquid foundation, they have both warm and cool shades for each colour. They have Ivory and it has good coverage. Steer clear of Mac if you are pale or don't want to look like you're from TOWIE, even the palest shades have an "orangeness" to them. I do use Mac every now and then but I have to have a tan.
No 7 in Boots do a liquid mineral foundation in Ivory which is pale. The "Ivory" shade in the standard No 7 foundation is more of a biscuity colour. |

Becca products are bloody gorgeous. Every time I buy one of their range I go out and get another. I just bought their Luminous Skin Colour. Admittedly it is more of a tinted moisturiser but it's very good if you just need something light (I just add a bit of concealer on my uneven spots). Makes the skin look very natural and fresh and actually looking like skin! The have a great range of colours from the very pale to very dark.
Downside is they are expensive.... |

I've just ordered one from Dainty Doll, they seem to be the lightest of the light so we shall see!
Thanks everyone.

I'm very pale so pale people often think I'm ill. I've tried so many different brands but find Bourgeois are good colours and just the right shade for me.
