It say's the following;

"Sorry, iPlayer isn't availsble right now. Please try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status"

It's been like this for about a month.

Works fine for me.

Have you tried rebooting router? Or deleting your connection settings on Xbox and reconnecting?

I did have this problem but I resolved it by coming out of the app then going back in. It happened a few times but I haven't used it in a while so can't say if it still is an issue.

I was having this problem yesterday. It wouldn't let me play anything that was uploaded that day, I could only play stuff that was more then 1 day old. If its a wide spread problem then hopefully the app will get updated.

The same problem as I had a month or so back. It just sorted itself out for me. I didn't delete the app or anything like that.

The only problem I have is that the iplayer logo seems to be stuck on the part of the dashboard where you would normally see news and Xbox Live gold membership offers...

Which is annoying because I'd like to renew but can't take advantage of any offer.

Yes, the HD option is missing for me too.

It always used to show up within a second or two of selecting a programme. Now it just doesn't appear at all.

Right now I'm content with standard quality as I have a older TV with the Xbox.
Video loads faster too this way.

but I'm getting a new TV soon, so I hope this problem will be resolved soon

I tell you what works for me -

Press the guide button and and pop along to your Online Status and appear offline. Once that's done, disable any notifications. (The kind telling you that someone is now online.)

Load up the i-player - and no problems.
