my guilty pleasure is `paying the price of love` and i say that because the vocals were too high which were out of fashion when it was released. yes, i appreciate that was their trademark, but it didn't suit the song in my opinion. i still love it though.

my all time favourites are:

you win again
how deep is your love?
alone
for whom the bell tolls
massachusetts
tragedy

also they wrote wonderful records for many high calibre artists, which are also favourites of mine:

diana ross - chain reaction
barbra streisand - woman in love
dolly parton and kenny rogers - islands in the stream

From their early 70s incarnation I always like 'Run to Me' and from their mid 70s incarnation 'Jive Talkin' which is a brilliantly original song.

I really like most of what they recorded between 1966 and 1972, and especially World and New York Mining Disaster 1941.

Most of what they recorded afterwards doesn't appeal to me very much.

I've Gotta Get A Message To You followed by Massachusetts...

Was never a fan of the Saturday Night Fever and later stuff.

PS. I'll have Words as my third place choice.
