People who slap their mouths when eating...
It really, really P*SSES ME THE F**K OFF. It makes me so angry and I don't know why! Yes, someone is doing it as I type this.

What are your thoughts on people who can't eat properly?!

If you are refering to loud chomping sounds then I am in sympathy.

Ironically I don't find animals eating annoying at all however loud. But when I hear people chomping I feel really stressed and I can't pinpoint why.

Either you haven't heard the phrase or you're being stuck up because I didn't use a proper term... I mean when people eat with their mouth open and making that god-awful slapping sound every time they chew.

OMG I NO HOW YOU FEEL!!!!

its THE most annoying thing in my whole entire life

i actually googled it, i think i have misophonia - where your ears are really sensitive to the sound of people eating and gulping and stuff

sickens me

sometimes i have to leave the room i can just feel anger bubbling inside me

to me it feels like the person eating noisily or smacking their lips or gulping or enjoying their food or wadeva and doing it purposely JUST to annoy me

The only thing that annoys me is people chewing with their mouths open, which I guess does amplify the sound but if the mouth is closed, I'm fine. I'll be there at dinner time, shooting glances and making sure they're eating properly...

I have a real aversion to hearing people chew noisily, even when they chew with their mouth closed. All that swishing and sloshing you sometimes hear. Yuck!

My biggest annoyance in the matter though, are people who chew gum loudly with mouth open. Usually while sat next to me on a bus. 😁Ugh!

If you mean people who are so loud and obnoxious they practically make sweet, passionate love to their food as they eat it, right before your eyes, then I sympathise. Nothing brings out the homicidal ideation quite like a noisy eater.

One of my (many) pet hates. Work with a chap who can somehow lip smack and chomp even on a dry biscuit.

He stands next to my desk "chomp, smack, slurp chomp smack slurp" and inside I'm beating him to death with my chair.

He's also one of these people who can't bite into an apple. Instead he embeds his teeth and then snaps the apple away before "chomp smack slurp chomp smack slurp".

It marvels me that adults can reach their mid thirties bereft of basic eating skills.

It's irritating isn't it? My elderly father is the world's worst; he not only slaps his mouth when he's eating, but also when he's just woken up or when he's thirsty. Drives me bananas.

One disgusting bloke I used to be infatuated with ten years ago used to make slurpy, chomping dog noises when he ate. It was vile. Two different women I used to work with at different times also used to make hideous eating noises. One the same as above, and the other a slightly different sort. She'd either a) make everything she ate sound like she was chewing extra sticky toffees, or b) made everything sound like extra crunchy crisps, even if it was a slice of cake. I had to leave the room when these women were eating, it was that bad. The bloke, I couldn't leave the dinner table even though I wanted to.

Same! I think (for me anyway) its because its cute on animals, they don't know any better and that's just how all animals eat, they eat out of a bowl on the floor!

Whereas, humans do know better and we have standards (or some of us anyway).
