Gawd help us !! If this is true then it should only be allowed if Bruce agrees to retire afterwards & they are all voted out early.

I'm sure I read/saw/heard that she was a professional dancer at some point. That should forfeit her from taking part on the grounds of fairness even without her being married to Brucie.

I hadn't heard that (not saying it isn't so ), but she does have some moves. I remember seeing a great documentary that Bruce made about the history of dance and how all the various dance styles were inter-related. Winelia went with him on some of the latin leg of his journey (Cuba, perhaps?) and she did a bit of salsa (or some such) and was a natural. She came across as great fun, too.

When Brucie retires, perhaps....

I remember she came on to do a solo bit in one of the pro dances too - she's definitely a natural mover......having seen her in documentaries with Bruce she also comes across as a lovely, charming lady.........but as others have said it wouldn't be a good idea for her to be a contestant while Bruce is still hosting!

Bruce was interviewed by Chris Evans on Radio 2, when he was promoting his CD, featuring him singing with his grandaughter. He was asked if his wife would ever take part on Strictly, and would he like that to happen. He wasn't keen on it because he didn't want his wife to suffer adverse criticism from those certain members of the public hellbent on slagging off the show. So it wouldn't happen he said.

New Professional? They should at least have her do a dance as a feature in the series XD

Heaven forbid, one member of the family trying to dominate is bad enough!

It won't happen. I get the impression Wilnelia is a traditional wife, kept firmly in her place by Brucie who likes them at home cooking the dinner. He is not the sort of guy who would want to share the limelight.

If my memory serves me correctly, when Bruce was the host of the Generation Game she used to help teach the contestants the dance moves when they used to take part in a Latin-American themed dancing game. Anyone else remember this?

I do remember that (even though I was a child at the time). Maybe that is why I thought she was already a professional dancer. I think I remember a frankly hilarious rendition of the lambada.

And yet when they spend several months of the year in Puerto Rico, she is the famous one and he's happy to take a back seat and just play golf. However, I still wouldn't want to see her taking part in SCD.

Fair enough, but UK television is Bruce territory and he is not a man who likes to share the limelight. And there marriage clearly works so why rock the boat?
