Games you think deserve a sequel

The game I think deserving of a sequel is Mace Griffin bounty Hunter.
I know the original had it's flaws but I loved the seamless transition between walking around to flying your spacecraft. You could even step away from the controls midflight and walk around the ship. I imagine the sequel being in a Mass effect or Star Wars the Old Republic type of world.
I know it will never happen, but I'm a dreamer lol.

What are your ideas for games deserving of a sequel for whatever reason?

I picked these games because their campigns made it very clear that the story was unfinished:

Vanquish
Enslaved
Bulletstorm
Rage

I would also like to see sequels to:

Dante's Inferno (because it's based on a trilogy)
El Shaddai
Wet (sequel was scrapped)

I didn't level up sufficently and was unable to continue playing half way through the game. How did it end ?

Enslaved was excellent. Bulletstorm was fun.

They suffered for various reasons. Both were new IPs and didn't connect to a lot of people.

Enslaved was a little odd at the end, but well written, I think it would have sold better if advertised better, and also the DLC had become available. Play was fun but could be difficult. Everyone who bought it liked it, but it was getting people to buy it was the problem. If it was a platform exclusive someone would have been raving about it.

Bulletstorm was fun but failed for a variety of reasons. The PS3 sales were appalling but that was the release dates fault, as it was released the same day as Killzone 3 (which was no1 in all format charts), and I for one was playing on Helghan not Stygia. As to poor Xbox sales - I have no idea. Perhaps it was oversaturation of FPS.

I bought both in sales and both deserved better sales, but the market is moving to a few huge names, and people are not risking new IPs anymore. And even some existing good IPs are at risk.

But we need new IPs we cannot have the same games forever we do need to have new stories, new locations, new heroes.

Red Dead Redemption by a mile. Why? I hear you ask, because it's such an epic game. A prequel or a sequel would be awesome.

I am about to start Enslave in the next few days, I picked it up in a cheap bundle with Black Ops the other week. I think the problem with this game and other like it is well covered in your post. I would also add that the price it launched at didnt help the game, £40 for a single player only game which will last at best 12hours, add in the fact its a new IP and the majority will ignore the game.

Games like Enslave really should launch at £20-£25 so seasoned gamers will take a gamble, the more gamers that jump onto it early the more people that spread the word online and the tricky down effect happens where the game gets a long sales tail from word of mouth.

Instead though publisher launch the games at £40, nobody buys the game because there are so many other titles that offer better value for money, the game quickly get its price cut in half and people write it off as rubbish because its been cut in price so quickly.

Games I would like to see sequels for...

Mirrors Edge
The Saboteur (Such a shame the developer was shut down )
Rage because the first game just ended what felt like half way through the story.

Brutal Legend and Red Dead Redemption need a PC release, let alone sequels.

REmake from the Gamecube. Yeah, that's right, remake Resident Evil 2 and 3 already!

I agree with Enslaved. I also would quite like to see a sequel for LA Noire. I want to solve more things.

The Saboteur. It was a brilliant game. Shame the devs shut down but it was one of the most fun games I've played. It's so under rated.

We need a new, PROPER sequel to Manhunt.

Manhunt 2 is best forgotten. The edited kills did nothing but give you a sore head.

Oh yeah I forgot Dead Island and Mafia. Not sure about SOTD. Nice looking game quite innovative but it got boring.

More than likely but I think they have their hands full at the moment :-) Lost Odyssey was always a game I would have liked a sequel to. Oh and Dark Sector

'Vampire, the masquerade, bloodlines'. An RPG which would lend itself to an Oblivion/Fallout/Skyrim type free roaming action/RPG very well I think.
It was the very first 'first/third person/real time fighting' RPG that I ever played.

(First person is a must for me..dont know why, but I really dont like third person view gameplay).
