Dertour, the German Olympic sellers, had a fresh bunch of tickets available yesterday.

Athletics finals tickets €80, booking fee €12 and €37 euros for delivery outside of Germany. I assume they would be hand delivered personally by the Chief Executive of Dertour for that.

Made it a £100 ticket, at £70-75 they had me. Much as I'd like to be there that was just a bit too much. Oh and I'd have to abandon my wife on her birthday!

I'm sure they will be snapped up.

Wow

And what's amazing is that you can click on the tickets you want, they go in your shopping basket, and you get them

Why on earth couldn't Ticketmaster devise something that worked like that?

Dertour originally did a ballot too I believe. You can go onto the London site and click into a basket and buy. But nothing on the Olympic Park appears to be left.

Got my tickets this morning - a surprising wake up call by the postman at 6.45am! Lucky I was in and awake.

Didn't get any advance warning by email - although did get an email at 6.52am saying they had been delivered.

Its tough work this Olympic ticket buying malarkey.

I even got my free travel tickets as well - although as a London commuter living in east London they are no use to me! Shouldn't Londoners have got a ticket discount if they didn't need the travel passes?

Now only the paralympics tickets delivery to come - 5am posssibly?

I still haven't applied for any Paralympics tickets. There are lots available, the prices are good and it's a chance to see some of the venues that I haven't been able to get to for the Olympics.

The All Day passes for Excel and the Olympic Park are especially good value at £10.

No, the tickets for all of your events come in one delivery. They must be sending them out in batches to make sure the whole system doesn't collapse.

When I went to collect mine from the sorting office they had a box of the envelopes so maybe they are being sent out on an area by area basis.

Well, I just decided to buy some Paralymics tickets and managed to get 3 sessions for less than £50 - an Athletics session, 7-aside football include an Olympic park pass and a day pass at Excel for lots of sports. If only the process for getting the Olympics tickets were so cheap and easy.

I managed to go on Sportsworld's final sale period which opened this mng at 10am. I bagged a couple of artistic gymnastics at O2 and mountain biking at Hadleigh Farm at reasonable cost. They have another two hour window tomorrow at 10-12 if anybody is interested.

I wouldn't worry. Just yet anyway They are sending them out daily over the next 40 days and it is totally random. Not alphabetically or by area.

Yes - very random. Do they really need to turn up at 6.45am?

I also received a text message telling me my tickets would be delivered that day - it arrived at 7.10am 25 minutes after they had been delivered!

The Cosport website still has quite a lot on there, including evening athletics. Although mostly the more expensive tickets

Howe much better is the Sportsworld website compared to the official site? The queuing system on he official one is dreadful, by the time you have waited ten minutes to be told you can't have the tickets you have applied for, all the other tickets you would like to apply for instead have gone!

I wanted to go to opening ceremony but the prices are too high. Very angry because I paid for the games and now cannot afford to attend.

Same here; as much as I want to go, I'm not prepared to pay £1000 for the privilege.

Thanks for paying for the Games!

Unfortunately there are only 80,000 tickets for the opening ceremony and a several million would would have liked to have gone so there was always going to be a massive difference in supply and demand.

Although try adding it to your 'shopping basket', then entering the 10 minute queue. Those tickets are then apparently not available!
