There are some Appreciation Threads which have moved on even less, it must be said ... that is if you extract all the 'Good Morning' and 'Good Night xxx' type entries which are saying less than nothing about anything at all ... different things please different types of minds, of course ... this we know ...

Thanks for the reminder to stay on-topic guys I try to remain alert to my shortcomings, but occasionally a stupid post slips out.

Most of the posts above are off-topic, come on guys really, how very naughty

I would add that it was certainly never my intention to

get the thread closed by posting a load of nonsense
I've been posting here long enough so am insulted by this ... the thread has been littered with a lot of very funny, clever and witty 'nonsense' in-between the serious discussion over it's 2 years, some re-posted just yesterday. If a few harmless o/t posts - albeit less witty and clever - could get the thread closed down when all-out wars seem not to have, then things have changed around here!

I see my jokey suggestion to start a thread about Josie has become reality, go figure

This is not a John James style flounce I hasten to add See you soon, goodnight (I can say that, right?)

I am not sure ... each to their own, of course ... but I always find those kind of checking in and checking out salutations a bit banal and sort of redundant ... but that may just be me ... it simply seems like padding and of very limited interest ... and ever so slightly self-important ... but then, we all can admire different styles ... can't we ... ?

Have to agree with you here. As you say, you need to have something to offer to keep yourself in the public eye - even Kerry Katona seems to be fading.

Unfortunately the relationship with Luke isn't bringing in the big bucks - not aware of photoshoots or interviews with both of them. I hope this relationship works, but then again, if she needs the money we will probably have, as you say, another 'he cheated on me' story.

A thread is not defined by the number of posts it has. Recently this thread has been having some very interesting on topic debates.
Thanks, guys.

To be honest, if the thread is not liked then I would imagine that the worst thing someone can do is post to keep it chugging along?

If an opinion is that it would be better for the thread to curl up its tootsies then surely not posting and giving it some chuggability is the best way forward?

Bloody hell thats freakin hilarious!

For the record, I have do desire to insult ANYONE on here - my post yesterday was because we have been culled a squillion times over the last couple of weeks, for being even a tad off topic. Some of mine went when they were ON topic

Ergo I thought it prudent not to go down that road right at the beginning of a new thread.

Tell the truth I dont give a fiddler's fark or a donkeys dangler whether the thread chuggs to a halt of its own volition........................its if it chugs to a halt at someone elses volition I worry about

Any more news on the Gruesome Twosome today?

Oh no ... you are not suggesting that there is a possibility that we might get divebombed by dingbats are you ... ?

Surely that could never happen ... we had better keep our hard hats on and our eyes peeled, just in case, eh ... ?

I ve seen a lot of critisism of this thread over the past few days and some of it has, i admit, touched a nerve. I consider myself a fair minded individual and i have never got involved in any of the personal attacks on josie, john, their supporters or indeed any one at all. I have come to this thread to discuss and debate the relationship of JJJ and to explore my own attitude to it. I have never experienced anything like my reaction to them two years ago and this has prompted me to wonder why i felt the way i did then and conversely why others saw a completely different picture. I dont think i have critisised Josie personally but i have commented on her behaviour which i believe i am entitled to do as she has deliberately courted fame and glory and has put herself out there!
I have always prided myself on not following the crowd and though i lurked a lot on the jjjat and occasionally posted, i dont think they influenced my opinion or perception of what i was seeing.
I have enjoyed reading the various points of view on this thread and know that some of us will never agree on what we saw but thats life and thats how it should be, it would be a boring world if we all felt the same.
I have to say one thing, i thoroughly enjoyed my little jjj obsession. At the time, i described it as watching or reading my favourite film or book except it was real and it was longer! I wouldnt wish to be that involved again though, and i was relieved when I didnt get half as interested in last years BB. I dont feel my interest in them was particularly indicative of any real issues in my life. I got caught up in what seemed to me a genuine relationship unfolding before my eyes, I would have been quite content if I had never heard or seen anything of them once they left the BB house, then i could have imagined they had sailed off into the sunset together like all the best love stories!

But is this not the very nub of the matter ... ?

Yes, people do like and enjoy having the wool pulled over their eyes by cynical forces ... it is fun being taken for a fool before one realises that one has been fooled ... but it is dangerous ... when lies are successfully passed off as truth ... (read that on a deeper societal level if you will)

If it turns out that the majority of people are easily foolable and insist on clinging onto a mirage even when it has disappeared just because they enjoy their dream world, this raises all sorts of questions about human nature and how it can be used and abused for other peoples' profit ...

When a possibly smaller number of smart cookies see through a deception they can find themselves unpopular with those who are less astute and enjoy their exploitation ...

And so all kinds of wars can erupt between the varied and different types of brains involved ...

People who react in a certain way due to their own characters or experiences would not always be aware of how their triggers were being pulled or what was resonating within their psyches ... this would not mean that the connection did not exist though ... possibly even it would mean the reverse ...

This is the endless source of fascination with what has become a rather special thread, I feel ... and goes to explain why a lot of people feel barely concealed animosity towards it and appear to resent its very existence so much ...

Good Morning courtlings, long time no see.
Hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather

Yayyy part 14 who would have thunk it
I wish some would realise that this thread is not governed by the same rules as the AT's, we dont have to appreciate, we can diss JJJ in every post if we so wish
Josie gets it the most because she is now 'car crash enough' she is still the gift that just keeps on giving, she knows her every action is open for ridicule or praise, hence why she does the sh*t she does.
Those latest pictures were a photoshoot and any idiot who believe the lies Josie spouts needs their noggins examining. Josie went to Portugal for about 12hrs yet took 3 different coloured bikinis Yes right

In 1 mag she is horrified she was papped and says she is going to lose weight (deja-vu anyone?) then a week later she is happy with her body and loves curling up on the sofa filling her face !(deja-vu anyone ? )

John James tweets once a month at most so just what are we to slag him off for ?
I have never been a fan of his, but admit he is a far better option than car crash Josie. He got his jacket when he obviously couldnt hack it living with Taser Jo with all her dirty habits

I know ... it is one hell of an achievement, isn't it ... ?

Especially as it is almost entirely made up of well reasoned and articulated and interesting postings rather than just 'hello' and 'goodbye' and 'I baked a cake' sort of irrelevant padding out ...

Just goes to show that it can be done ... so, well done to all the brilliant and gifted posters contained within the Court Thread - with all their psychological insights into the darker workings of the human brain ...

Long may they and the thread survive and thrive ... the world needs more (rather than less) of this kind of thing ... ... ...

It really is, its a fun thread with great debate, and hilariously funny fm's, love the tongue in cheek way this thread flows.
We have survived numerous moth attacks and many a cull, but we still keep marching on.
Long may we reign

I've read this thread on & off over the months & have to say it is one of the most 'intelligent' on here. Both fun, cutting, but not taking anything too seriously. It has a core cast but welcomes anyone as long as they stick to the basic premise of the thread. This has over time moved to a broader study of the JJJ debacle but that is to be expected. The fact that it remains open despite the best efforts of the moths says a great deal about about the intelligence of the core participants. We will not retaliate seems to be the mantra

nice to see you back mardy! in answer to your post personally I blame the zeleb culture for giving us such fine
gems like john and josie think a lot of people would have trouble knowing or even remembering who these two are
now so lukey hasn't a hope in hell of getting star profile
front page with josie but then again I'm sure they could do a fine photoshoot for plumbers weekly!

this is a brilliant post.....

and I can really see where you are coming from.....It isnt usually popular to ask to many questions or to contradict the status quo.....

im not really sure why so many do seem to resent the existance of this thread quite so much.....its not as if it is really that important, and I cant imagine it really affecting that many people on a personal level. If people dont like it, then they can choose to ignore this thread....

Strangely enough I think it is not too hard to fathom why a lot of people do resent this thread so much - but that is very far from saying that I think that they have a right to feel like that ...
