Still think Jade is incompetent....

I think Jade negotiated and sold the idea exceptionally well, but yet again she had no strategy and her instructions to the other team were pretty rubbish! It seemed to be, do what you think is best like last time she managed.

You could argue that Tom and Adam are useless but as a project manager it's your job to ensure everyone knows what they're doing and motivate them.

My opinion, excellent individual worker, not a good team player or manager.

In my post, I was saying that Jade had won the task by merit, as opposed to have won by sheer luck or by default. However, I wanted to nuance this by adding that, although hailed as a landslide victory, Phoenix' winning total was not unbeatable, i.e. if the rest of Sterling (Stephen and Gabby) had performed "like Ricky" (that is performed much better), Phoenix' score wasn't so high (especially with Tom and Adam's subteam drawing a blank) that Sterling couldn't have potentially done better

What's wrong with 110% (although I don't believe someone is really committed unless they promise me they'll give their 200%)? ”

It's not possible to give more than 100% (i.e. everything) so if you start going into the impossible why stop at an extra 10%? As you say, why not 200% or 1000%? It means naff all.

Sorry if I sounded condescending, it really wasn't my intention. I just think if candidates start pontificating about "ifs" and "onlys" there can be other "ifs" and "onlys" on the other side (e.g. if only Adam and Tom had performed like Jade and Nick the win would have been even bigger). I mean if only my aunty had different plumbing she'd be my uncle .

PMs nearly always take the best bits of the task. They have a much bigger risk of being fired than anyone else, they have to give themselves the chance to do something great. And a smaller point, it was a woman only spa and an all woman board for that matter, I think it was right for the woman in the team to lead the pitch.

Point taken about the spa bit - but she could have been a bit fairer regarding the pitches elsewhere- it is too much about her and her oversized ego

Wouldn't want to work for her

I dont think she won this task so much as Stephen lost it. Her smug face when she left the boardroom was soooooooooo annoying.”

She pretty much told Nick she wasn't interested in him pitching. Selfish madam

Are you saying that Nick would have done a better pitch? Really? Nick?

No I am saying that outside the spa bit he would have been just as good at pitching. This is what I don't like about Jade - too domineering and looking for the glory - not a team player

She is incompetent. The only reason she has got this far is because she is competing with buffoons. She also speaks like an illiterate builder.

Zippy could pitch better than Jade.

Well, I have to say I completely disagree with you. She was very good with her spa pitch, at least based on the little we saw. She also chose the right strategy. And she did made one good point in her week seven debacle BR appearance- although the editing kept her in the background, what little we were shown was not incompetent either, and what she did do seemed to work for her colleages (except Adam)
