I think some would argue its for the better, but I agree the whole situation creeps me out a little, I wish she would have full control of her own assets as opposed to it being split somewhat, and with the new X Factor deal, a few have suggested that she may have been directed to accept the offer whether it be in her best interests or those who are in control. I want to believe Britney wants the X Factor, but only time will tell.
I don't trust Jason Trawick and yet I could never explain why, and I'm not the one dating him, I don't even know the guy in the slightest but something doesn't sit right. I wish I had something to base this on, or some explanation, but when I read he was made co-conservator, it was unsettling. |

I understand your argument but she is 30 and has millions of dollars controlled by family and fiance. Maybe this is the norm but it doesn't strike me as such! |

As long as she isn't being forced to do something against her will then i'm all for a bit of control in her life. She was on the rails to destruction at one point and we've all seen the end result of that far too many times.

She maybe 30 years old but suffers from mental health which effects her being able to make positive life decisions as seen several years ago when she had to be sectioned. Due to this she lost custody of her children which I am sure has had a huge impact on her.
Also if she wanted she could reapply to the courts to have the order revoked but as she is now well again she is most probably aware and worried in case she has another episode so wants to ensure the support is in place to prevent things escalating. As a parent she doesn't want her children seeing her being sectioned or being on so much medication that she is not able to parent them. Unfortunately like many childhood stars the price of fame and money can have its downfalls with the pressure causing many famous people to have addictions or breakdowns. I could not ever imagine or want to be in a position were you can't even open your front door without being snapped and then the picture circulating worldwide to be mauled by every critic, has been, and so called fans. Just type in her name on google and you get reams of press reports making her and blogs of people slating her. Not really a Britney fan but do understand the reasons for not having complete control and why she is in the position she is in. As for all the rubbish re illuminati, Yes and Elvis lives two doors up from me and I get visited by aliens every night. |

What creeps me out most is that its her Dad and now her fiancé in charge. If it was a neutral party who didn't benefit either way then it would fine. I do think that the conservatorship is inconsistent, they claim she's too ill to appear before a judge in court. They script/edit all her interviews to the point some of the press pulled out of interviewing her when she was last in the UK. Then they sign her up to the X factor where she will have to give candid comments and critical judgments.
It seems if the money is right they can get Britney to do anything, tour, release an album, perform with Rihanna, judge on the X Factor. |

Surely she could take legal action if she wasn't happy with it?

Without that in place she probably would have ended up like Amy Winehouse so I'm glad they have some kind of control. She still doesn't seem "all there" yet so god knows when she'll gain full control again. In saying that, if she's still that mentally ill, why do her family have no problem with her keeping on touring and promoting new music all the time? THAT, I do have a problem with.

The courts reassess her case every so often, they clearly think it's in her best interest, I don't see what they have to benefit from keeping her under the conservatorship if it wasn't necessary. One of her close friends said she wants to do The X Factor to prove she isn't crazy, it doesn't sound like she has been forced into it. I think if her tenure on The X Factor is successful, the courts will lift the conservatorship, she just needs to prove she can cope with the normal stresses of life.

Has she been controlled? She is the definition of a pop puppet. I'm shocked that she will be a judge on the US X-factor. Unaided, she can't even string a sentence together. I expect quite a train wreck. Who knows maybe that's what they are shooting for.

Can't we just focus on the music? I obviously love to know some information about my favorite artist's private life, but in Britney's case, as long as she delivers great pop music, I couldn't care less about the speculation. When she's ready to speak up about her issues, she will.

No wonder she often does look like she'd rather just be playing with her kids, it must be horrible dealing with this all. I do agree that it probably did save her life though. Not sure it will in the long term. |

Britney on the X-factor will be interesting to say the least. She's not the brightest is she? Whenever I've seen her interviewed she has not come across as very articulate.
Before the Britney fans jump on me - I do like her but am not convinced she's mentailly strong enough to be on a show like X-factor. |
