Tom's website sales £0, Stephen's sales £350

I thought I misheard, but Tom and Adam sold ZERO last night while Stephen and Gaby were fired for selling £350?? What a waste of space!!

Everyone says how great Tom is but hes just been riding on Jade and Nicks coattails imo.

Indeed. Tom has been terrible in the last couple of weeks and has just been lucky to be on the winning side.

I wonder if Adam's been a bad influence - after all he was with him getting bladdered last week and this week as soon as I heard that the emphasis was to be on "quality" I thought 'Adam will ignore that'

agree. Adam and Tom have basically done sweet fa and made no money at all for TWO weeks now?! I wouldnt invest any of my money in them!

Having said that LAS cant fire either of them as they keep winning!
oh well at least I suppose the teams will be switched up for the next task as they are now really unbalanced.

Quite. And we can be sure that Sugar will have one "expendable" candidate in each team, to ensure his favourites make it through to the final no matter what. The make-up of the two teams will, I think, tell us a lot about who he really likes. I'm guessing the expendables are Adam and Jade.

I actually think he likes Adam. he has singled him out for praise in the boardroom on more than one ocassion.

I think the expendables are Jade (female winners have been pretty disatrous for him and he doesnt rate "arty" types which I believe he will think of Jade as) and Tom (even when he won as pm twice in a row LAS was pretty negative)

Ricky must surely be a favoured one seeing as LAS fired everyone else on his team!

We shall see - all part of the fun!

Although Adam has done better at recent weeks, it has largely because he has been able to deploy his sales skills. Tom and Nick strike me as more credible businesspeople. However, it will all come down to the plans and Sugar's opinion, of course. I don't really mind as long as it is entertaining!

I hear what you are saying but Stephen and Gaby's team lost the task.

The whole show is flawed, with business plans already submitted to Sir Sugar he most likely already knows who he is going to invest in!

I can't believe how convincing Tom was for so long into this series.
I like most people seriously believed he was the one to beat.

But in hindsight it really does seem to be that I was just misled with the impression and demeanor he gave off rather than how he actually performed.

He looks the part, he talks the part, so he seemed so plausible.
Just shows you how your beliefs can be misguided based upon image more than content.

I don't mean to sound critical of him as a person because I do like him and think he would be very good at several things career-wise and would do well too.
It's more a criticism of myself and how I can somehow manage to mislead myself just based on how appearances make something seem.

I probably had him down as the potential winner after about the second show I saw him speak. He just sounded rational and professional so I bought right into it.

He reminds me a bit of Rafe was it? The Asian bloke who was the perfect gentlemen. He too was very popular and likeable but it was quite a similar experience with him near the end of his series.

Mind you with this TV show it's very difficult to know how well or not somebody is truly doing.

Yes, not many hidden depths to Tom sadly. However I think his desire for the lifestyle and commodities he perceives are signs of success will spur him on to be successful in a fairly shallow and superficial way.

Yes, I've been a bit suspicious of Tom's edit in the last 3 episodes.
I wouldn't be surprised if he had a dead cat bounce next week.

The preview clips of next time showed the teams like this:

Phoenix: Adam/Jade/Nick (looks like Adam might be PM)

Sterling: Tom/Ricky (not sure who's PM here, I thought Tom but other people seem to be saying Ricky)

Ricky is PM because it shows a clip of the boardroom and he is sitting in the PM seat. Wont look good for him if he loses again for the third time as PM

With wine, art and food, Tom's acted more like a critic than as a salesperson. He never really looked that comfortable when negotiating. It's as if the whole haggling thing embarrassed him. To be honest, he so far didn't prove himself to be that imaginative, business savvy, creative and socially adaptable. Also, he seems intelligent, but isn't.

Adam's good at what he can do, but he had consistently underperformed whenever he was partnered with Tom. He'd better partner with anyone but Tom if he wants to save his skin.
