Yeah, this is exactly it. It's all very well to say that going to the health spa could have won his team the task, but it has to be remembered that it was the place he went instead of the health spa that netted him the £6,000 he did raise. The other team made £14,000 in total from 2 places split £6,000 and £8,000. I can't remember which is which but if we assume that the spa was the larger of those two and that Ricky would have got about the same then that means that rather than bringing in £6,000 for his team he'd have brought in £8,000 meaning they'd have lost by £6,000 rather than £8,000.

Had Steven gone to the spa, then they might have scraped a win.

And, really, what kind of a defence is it anyway to say "well, I thought this was the best strategy, but I allowed my team to overrule me"? Was he PM or not? That he panicked over the decision isn't the point in his favour that he seemed to think.

Of course, I doubt any reality TV show producer would ever attempt to manipulate the narrative of a programme in that way ... ”

There was problem touched on on YF. Ricky wasted a lot of time looking at views, kitchens and tables and eating. However in the real world he would have been responsible for the quality of what they offered and making sure that claims were true - so would have to check all those things. In a way it was too realistic for once

Well, the thing with the restaurant is, I'm sure, that all the showing him around was in order to generate footage in order to get a free advert for the restaurant. Why would they need to do a website deal when they can have 5 minutes of a prime time highly-rated BBC1 programme showing the restaurant off for free?

There's definitely something odd about it. Restaurants work on big margins, I don't believe the guy couldn't even offer £1 discount (not that the coupon company would have accepted the deal).

The restaurant I think is Galvin's which is Michelin starred on Park Lane and the manager appeared on the Michel Roux "apprentice waiter" show so it was obviously a set up. Nice to see Fred again

I have been impressed with Ricky last two tasks. I think we all had him marked down as another Stephen but I think a lot of his earlier fiestiness was due to feeling overlooked in selling tasks so he had a good whinge to Stephen, now they e been whittled down he's coming into his own as a good candidate. I really can't think of any glaring mistakes he's made tbh.

YES! And he seemed really annoyed when Ricky insisted both Stephen and Gabrielle were responsible for the failure, with a larger share to Stephen.

Stephen seemed to believe that Ricky would support his attempt to throw Gabrielle under a bus. I couldn't believe how sly Stephen was when he tried to hang her dry by subtly but surely directed the entire failure to her. Ugh. I was happy when he got fired.
