does Apple i-pad support BBC local radio

as well as live BBC television transmissions?

Can't get either of the above,but I can get all the BBC national radio stations

Any help most wellcome

The Tunein radio app has most of the radio stations available Including local BBC stations

just to thank you for the advice,BBC local radio stations now up and running.

Now I have just to work out how I get the National BBC TV channels

I use either the BBC iPlayer App or the TVCatchup App to watch BBC channels

i think the op was asking for this from Germany, so neither of those will work, the bbc are strict on their tv channels as a uk based ip and a tv license is required to watch

BBC iPlayer (by typing http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer into your tablet's web browser.).........BBC iPlayer is currently supported on the Apple iPad and on Flash 10.3 enabled Android tablets running Android 2.2 or later.

Not if you're outside the uk like the poster above has said, there is an app though that will let you play all uk free view channels but I can't for the life of me think what it is at the moment

No, all legal live streams of BBC, or any UK TV channel, are tied to having a UK IP.

I use StrongVPN to view BBC iPlayer on my tablet or Sky Go on my laptop, it's worked everywhere I've been from South Africa , Europe and the USA.

Strong costs $55 a year (from memory) although I believe there are free alternatives.
