Help - hair dye on dogs coat
Frillynix

What a prat I am. I was dyeing my hair last week and my chocolate labrador brushed past my arm without me knowing - she now has a big ginger blob on her beautiful coat

Will this grow out? Or should I clip it like you would in an operation to encourage the proper colour to grow again?

Am so cross with myself

Is this for real? What happens to your hair? Yes, it grows out. And that's exactly what will happen to your dog.

Cheers - thanks for the friendly reply.

I sometimes feel when I post in here that Im in the headmasters office

Thankfully she will have no long term effects then.

As long as she hasn't reacted on her skin where it is, I wouldn't worry. Let it grow out. The way that dogs are moulting at the moment with losing their winter coats, it shouldn't take too long.

yep, the affected hair will moult as normal and re-grow normally, could take a few months to completely go, though

not the same, but our old collie would lay against the skirting boards whenever they were freshly painted

predominantly black border collie with a white stripe of gloss round her bum!
it brushed out, but not always completely
