One Foot In the Grave is very funny. It never gets boring and i still laugh alot at the repeats
I own most of the Series on DVD but i must get the complete box set at some point.

Shame it ended but of course it could come back if they really wanted it too.

Sadly David Renwick won't write anymore
I have always felt it was a mistake to kill Victor off. Would love to see how he would react to things like foreign call centres, smartphones!

I don't think Victor should have been killed off either, but David Renwick didn't want to write anymore series, and got fed up with being asked if he was going to.
I like your idea of Victor and new technology. I remember an episode where he bought an answering machine and was struggling setting that up, so I can definately imagine some very funny moments of Victor getting frustrated with laptops and smartphones.

I did, he wasn't a nasty man, he just got caught up in circumstance. Having to put up with Mrs Warboys and Mr Swainey would test the patience of any person

They are all fine actors.
I think Mrs Warboys meant well but she was very tactless and had a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.
After Victor Mr Swainey was my favourite character. I loved the way, most of the time, he talked in a cheery manner no matter what it was he was talking about.

If anyone is watching the episode on GOLD at the moment - Margaret has been particularly nasty in this one she has poured water over Victor's groin to try to revive it, she has had his caravan towed & and put white spirit down the toilet.

I don't have gold, but I remember the episode your talking about.
He wanted them to go on holiday in his "haunted" caravan, but ended up going on his own.
I think this one is very funny and it's in my top 10 favourite episodes.

To be fair, I don't think the white spirit incident was nastiness - just stupidity!

Hmmmm like the toilet paper incident was? This was the episode that she was supposed to die in but they changed their minds the new neighbours didn't do it for me good job it didn't go on for much longer.

Yes that episode was supposed to be last ever. Hence the title, Endgame I suppose.
I thought the McVities were quite funny. I loved the scene where Victor's trying to get out of their bed.
There was only one more series after that Christmas special, and I think the humour got a bit too crude, especially in Tales of Terror and Threatening Weather, but I love The Executioner's Song and The Dawn of Man.

Margaret was one of those two faced people who loved and hated people at same time maybe it was an unfulfilled life with Victor and the loss of a child or just stress because when she had the heart attack episode she was nice afterwards but then again that episode was fiddled as they intended to kill her off and changed their minds.
Which episode was that in?

Endgame. That was suppose to be the last ever episode, and originally Margaret was doing to die, but David Renwick changed his mind.

If you are surrounded by people who try to interrupt your life by beaning nosy, stupid or plainly irritating, it will turn you in to someone who gradually loses patience and tolerance with those around you. You end up waiting for something to happen or someone to cock-up.

I'll have a look at it again if I can find it. It used to be up on Youtube.

I've looked on Youtube but I can't find it.
Endgame's one of my favourite episodes. Very funny, but also sad at times.

Yes it did, because I watched most of the episodes last year.
Why has the OFITG account been removed?

Why has the OFITG account been removed?
Because the greedy BBC want you to buy them on dvd and give them some extra pennies to spend.

Am currently watching "Who Will Buy" from Series 2. I like this episode but, I really hate the ending - always gives me a lump in the throat - majority of it actually

That's a good episode. Very funny with Victor and Cuthbert, and very sad with Jimmy Jewell's character.
