Power of Veto twist
Hey guys
Just a quick message with a twist idea I had for BBUSA and the power of veto. Let me know what you think. Cheers. Idea: This twist would be that there were several different types of vetos and the winner of the competition each week would pick a power at random and that would be the power they were granted. The different veto powers would be: 1. Original Veto (BB3) - The holder can remove a nominee but not themself if they are on the block. 2. Golden Veto - The standard veto that has been used from BB4 onwards. Allows the holder to remove a nominee and also themself if they are on the block. 3. Diamond Veto (BB12) - The holder can remove a nominee and name the replacement nominee NOT the HOH. 4. Coup D'etat Veto (BB7 and 11) - Allows the holder to overthrow the HOH and remove one or both nominees and replace them with there own nominations. HOH is immune. 5. Immunity Veto - The holder can remove a nominee and also grant immunity from the block to another houseguest so they can not be back-doored.HOH Veto - The holder can remove a nominee and replace them with anyone including the HOH. 6. No Veto - There is no veto power and no one can be removed. 7. HOH Veto - The holder can remove one or both nominees and replace them with anyone including the HOH. Once each power is selected it can not be selected again so that each power is used at least once. I thought this twist could be introduced in the beginning and once all have been used there would be 6 houseguests left and the normal Golden veto would return. What do people think? Good idea? Too confusing? Thanks |

I like the concept, though I think it could be a bit confusing, especially for casual viewers who don't really keep track of things like the superfans do.
Also, I kind of worry that having things like this decided at random would just give Grodner another excuse to suddenly give awesome powers to America's new sweethearts and screw the group that America doesn't like. I kind of feel like at the moment, they don't need to fiddle with the HoH/Veto to enhance the game. They just need to find better ways to improve the game around them. No lame Pandora or whatever!

It could be interesting, although I don't like the no veto one. I would like to see the replacement chosen by random draw if it is used (HOH & veto holder are exempt). This would put an end to people throwing the competitions and force people to use it if they promised a nominee or expose them as going back on their word. However, the HOH would no longer have a backdoor option.
