The Sanchez/Holliday rendition of 'And I Am Telling You' must rate as or near the very best of this type of reality show collaborations. It is rare that both the 'star' and the contestant are at the top of their game in these performances. I can think of Beyonce/Alexandra but no others off the top of my head. Anyone?

Nope, cannot think of anyone. That was a stunning powerhouse of a duet, totalling amazing. I so hope that Jessica gets to where she wants to go with that huge voice of hers.

It reminded me of the Beyonce/Alexandra duet too. Lovely rapport between them. Some strange faces being pulled but super vocal gymnastics.

That performance was spectacular.

Took a while to get used to Halliday's facial expressions, but she's obviously used to "performing" the song fully, on stage, in character, so taking the slightly hilarious faces out it was easily the performance of the night and possible the series.

Hate to be a bit of a downer, but don't like the song at all. And I had to fast forward all the grimacing and growling. Although I can appreciate the difficulty of the song, it just felt like an assault on my eardrums.

Much preferred Beyonce and Alexandra's 'Listen'

Best performance or close to it I've seen on AI. Really brings home how much better this is than the UK shows. Really really excellent stuff. Loved the facial expressions.

Shame some people didn't get it and equate a powerful voice to being 'shouty'.Beggars belief and obviously people just don't appreciate real talent. Jessica thoroughly deserved to win this year. What let her down was choice of winners single. Phillip I liked, nice boy but I think Jessica was miles better. People say Phillip was more original but we are seeing more and more of his type now so I'm not sure how original it is. I hope next year a girl can win, it's been too long. I think overall the girls were much better than the boys this year.

It was incredible, the facial expressions made it even more so, I also loved Jennifer Lopez's reaction (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWxDV...tailpage#t=90s) it had me in stitches, although my favourite bit has to be 3:14, amazing .

It's like comparing apples with oranges - Jessica is a singer and Phillip is more of a songwriter/singer type. I have to say that Phillips' performance of "Home" on Thursday night was the performance of the series for me. Completely agreed with everything Randy said. Different strokes for different folks is all.

I liked Phillip but for me Jessica and Joshua were the real stars of the shows. Both amazing singers. Jessica singing with Jennifer Holliday was truely unbelievable.
