Games you really want to see made into films.

I know films of games don't have a great history (eg Super Mario, Street Fighter), but there have been some that I have enjoyed (Silent Hill comes to mind). But what games would you like to see adapted for the big screen. I would love a Resistance Fall of Man movie. As long as they stick to the plot I think it would be amazing. Escpecially with the Uk settings
from the first game. Others I want to see are

Dead Space
Assasins Creed
Red Dead Redemption
Bioshock (might be interesting )

I have heard rumours of an Unchartered movie, hope this does not happen as it could potentionaly be a crap fest. Anyway,,, thoughts?

Isn't there a Bioshock film in production? I'm pretty sure there is.

A Metro 2033 would be sweeeeeeet.

Need for Speed - As a sort of rip of as fast and furious

Aside from that mostly movies set in game worlds, like a game in Red dead redemptions world, a game in gta4 liberty city etc, that could act as spin off maybe only featuring characters from the games in the background or mention the event of the game during the film

Slighty of topic but i'd like to see the mummy films made into games like uncharted, get naughty dog to oversee production and they could be amazing

Metal Gear Solid. I heard that was getting made into a film but not heard anything recent.

Uncharted is another one I'd like to see made into a film.

Definitely this one.

Infamous would probably translate quite well too. It would need to have Jason Statham playing Cole though.

Final Fantasy X.

But with high-res animation, not live-action.

Same voice actors but honed to avoid the awkward moments, because they were a fine cast just marred by several instances of bad dialogue/translation (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, etc.)

The problem with this is many of the fans highly object to "dublation" - ie. not necessarily with a direct translation for a segment, but the nearest equivalent that sounds natural in its translated language. The reason for this being that in worst case scenario key bits of dialogue, plot, puns etc can get lost with it. Now, within reason this would be the preferred option for most, but unfortunately the term is also linked to censorship - such as when scenes/dialogue arent deemed "suitable" or use obscure references that a westerner wouldn't pick up on.

I never played FFX so cant speak for that but it sounds like your describing the other extreme where the translators have tried too hard to keep it integral that dialogue becomes unnatural.

All of the above is why some of the more "hardcore" fans would never dream of watching/playing a dubbed title....but still tend to make a note of bitching about it anyway

I would love to see another Final Fantasy film - live action or cgi. The film would require a large budget though, so it will possiably never be done correctly. Also, Second Sight and a animated Ratchet and Clank film too.

Fallout New Vegas.

You could have 4 installments as NCR, Legion, House and Wildcard.

Mass effect was rumoured to be turned into a film, I think the 'debate' about the ending of ME3 may have made it less likely to happen.

Gears of War might be an interesting film if done well.

I would quite fancy the idea of Elder Scrolls: Morrowind being turned into a film. I love Oblivion and Skyrim, but storywise I loved Morrowind more. I would settle for Skyrim, but, the Nerevarine story is more meaty than the Dragonborn story.
