#100 That being not only the youngest contestant but also the shortest contestant can be a disadvantage

Can we reinvest the first 101 and do some more?

I learned NEVER to admit having a degree that's even closely related to that weeks task.

And when being told by a twit with a god complex that he IS YOUR BOSS, the best response is "You are nothing to me!"

#3 If someone suggests combining a swimsuit and a kimono, RUN. Don't look back, just run.

All Alan Sugar cares about on The Apprentice is the money that is made. Nothing else seems to matter to him.

A pedant writes: a wetsuit. A swimsuit/ kimono combo might have been ok.

#4 If you want to know the meaning of a rather obscure word (like candelabrum), the best person to ask may possibly not be a Bengali shopkeeper who has clearly learned basic English as an adult.

A pedant writes: a wetsuit. A swimsuit/ kimono combo might have been ok.
Another pedant writes: a yukata.

(A kimono is a traditional/ceremonial outfit made of heavy lined material as a collective of different clothing layers, which takes up to an hour to put all together, and another hour before you feel comfortable you're not about to fall flat on your face because your legs aren't used to restricted movements.
A yukata, on the other hand, is a casual/summer robe made of unlined cotton material, which takes only five seconds to pull it on, but all day before you stop feeling so naked.)

#5 check that it's a washing machine, not a dryer, before you chuck in clothes and a pot of washing powder.

That being nice doesn't get you anywhere, but equally, neither does being a backstabber.

#8 That a four foot olive tree counts as 'a house plant'.

#9 That if you tell a driver to 'drive towards Croydon', he will not mysteriously drive past somewhere advertising stuffed rats.

That if someone who happens to be black is referred to as lazy or useless, the oversensitive forum posters on Digital Spy will become convinced that this is a race issue, even though it probably wasn't.

That if you are asked to get an olive tree and you are presented with three varieties, perhaps ask the obvious question 'which is the cheapest?'

#12 That every series, when you think the scriptwriters have finally run out of crass, cringe-inducing superlatives to feed the contestants for describing their brilliant busines acumen... you're proved wrong.

Obviously? I agree with him. Does that make me a racist?

Oh yes, of course you're a racist as well(!) It's more accurate to say that you and he are enjoying being obtuse (or hopefully, pretending to be) than honestly say, "Yeah, it exists, but that's life. Deal with it."

sorrry its out of sequence

#1 - LS will get it wrong, sack the wrong guys, and pick the wrong winner.

#2 - the producers should have changed the boss each series - so it became about the candidates, and not about the boss.

just a couple of thoughts.

That having a 'gut instinct' (Lorraine) isn't enough if you fail to mention it prior to the boardroom (carpet example being the exception to the rule.)

The whole programme is really based on ripping other people off and stroking Alan Sugar's ego.
I couldn't believe that any major store would buy that cookery book full of spelling mistakes, but they did.
