That teaching spelling needs to be taken more seriously in schools. These are clever kids who cannot spell, I am so shocked at them.

#27 that to look suitably businesslike you need to hold your phone at a right angle in front of your face whilst talking on it!

That was unbelievable too. One boy was proud that he actually knew four of them. You would think having picked the theme they would have had some knowledge.

The whole programme is really based on ripping other people off and stroking Alan Sugar's ego.
This.

#28 Making it to the top of a pile of back-biting young capitalist rats is an admirable object.

#29. Feel free to lie. But you will be found out because (I'm sorry to shock you, contestants) those people with cameras & boom microphones were actually recording you.

No, seriously, they were.

No, really.

That the only way to make money is to produce cr*p at the lowest possible price and try to win with volume. Quality, much like any educational qualifications (esp postgrad), does not feature in Sugar's universe.

#31 Throwing a candidate under a bus is a skill. An art, even.

Do it clumsily, you get fired. Do it in style, your target gets fired.

In addition to giving 110%, you must also be passionate - especially when you are actually really rubbish.

It is a gameshow in the end, and the contestants should understand that. The kind of business approach that tries to build customer loyalty over time will obviously not work when a business has a life of one day.

Yeah but it's supposed to be about testing which of them will create the most successful business. It's an inherent flaw in the format.
