2002, because I wasn't born in 1977.
I remember being at primary school and drawing/colouring in Union Flags, and we had a small picnic on the front lawn, which the whole school were there for. It was a great day, and I still remember it now.

77 definately. I was 7 and we had a street party joined by about 5 streets. In 2002 I was 32 and I can't remember any celebrating it, except the pub down the road having 'Jubilee Day' but really just stuck some bunting up.

I was 7 in '77 and I remember going to a street party, though ours was held in a coach garage which had been cleared of the coaches, but which reeked of fuel. I bet nowadays health and safety would have saved us from that. My eyes watered most of the party and I really couldn't taste any of the food.
I also got a commemorative coin at school. I haven't the faintest idea what happened to that. My dad probably sold it. 2002 I don't remember that one at all. Was it hyped up as much as this one? |

1977. We had a street party, all our street were really close anyway. Then we all went to Blackpool for the day. It seemed just a wonderful time looking back.
I remember nothing about 2002. I was talking about this with my daughter the other day. I was convinced this was Her Majesty's 50th until I did the maths, and then said 'what happened to 2002 then?'. I am hoping my grandchildren will remember 2012, we are having a small family do. No street party though, unfortunately. |
