Westboro Baptist Church/Phelps Family/
Hey all

I saw a few documentaries about these people and I was just wondering what people thought of them/ I cannot understand how the children in that camp have not been taken by social services? They are being brainwashed. How can the Phelps family not be arrested by the Police for hate crimes? They are sick individuals, and soulless. I am an Atheist so really cannot fathom or understand how they can practice so much hate. The young kids in the family are brainwashed into believing so much shit, I feel so sorry for them.

They are a cult, plain and simple. They purport to be all about faith but the reality is that they are all about controlling their members through brainwashing.

I'm surprised that they haven't all drank the poisoned Kool Aid yet.

I'm not sure you can take kids away because their parents are brainwashing them with some kind of religious nonsense though. Yes, these are extreme but still they have the same rights as the rest of us when it comes to religious belief.

Frankly I'd lock the lot of them up given half a chance.

I still don't understand how they haven't been beaten to a pulp by some of the guests at the funerals they stalk yet. Although I do admit that it was funny to see that little brat get a Cheeseburger to the face in Louis Theroux's documentary.

But how can the children be allowed stay there. I mean they are forcing the kids to picket at funerals, and in doing so putting their lives in danger. And they think Obama is the AntiChrist! If they think that WTF do they think about real dick heads like Hitler and Stalin? Didn't one of them say they rejoiced about the Holocaust, because they hated Jews?

It might have something to do with America having complete freedom of speech. I dunno. They're not exactly mistreating the children, just encouraging them to hate.

I think they could be pro-gay agnostic/atheist double agents, who make homophobic and pro-religion comments in public, in order to help the good cause of equality and a religion-free Western world.

Yes America has freedom of speech but look what happened to John and Bobby Kennedy when they expressed it!

And a few others as well!

How someone has not expressed their own opinion towards this bunch in a similar way, by now, I don't know.

I don't think there is anyone outside of themselves in the entire world who likes them.

I think there will be some who'll agree with their utterly crazy views/opinions. Thankfully though, these people will be in the complete minority.
