*MW3* do you consider quick scoping a talent or cheating

i enjoy quick scoping i find its a talent as it requires precision and quick reflects. its also extremely fun when your in a big game like DOM and you find yourself opposite a rival quick scoper from the other side of the map it can get intense and some of the shots you can pull off are amense. altho i will admit you can get some flukey shots in your favour but never the less i find the lack of ability to quick scope in others is the reason us quick scopers take so much grief for this slick yet difficult talent.

so what are your views is quick scoping cheating or not in your eyes?

I don't think its cheating but I don't think it takes talent either, especially on this game. Slap on a MSR and quickdraw and anyone can do it.

Yeah fun for you but not me, as i'm usually the one on the receiving end of it lol. I see it as a talent because not everyone can do it. Two or more snipers in a game is deffo fun imo.

It's not cheating, (unless you're using the blue/white tack trick) but it's bloody annoying.

I just don't see the point in it IMO

Its a talent/skill for those that can do it, its cheating/pointless to those that can't do it.

I can't QS but wish I could, so that puts me somewhere in the middle. I'm not happy about being quickscoped, I just wish I could give as good as I get.

Its not cheating, but it doesn't take too much talent either and thats coming from someone who used to quickscope all the time

Its not a talent whatsoever.

it is not a talent and people who join games just to quick scope ruin the game for everyone else

It something that takes a little bit to learn then it's easy to do, it's a bullsh*t game mechanic, being able to use a one shot weapon in close quarters

It's a very "cheap" way of playing the game.

Technically, its not cheating, but it's exploiting a game-mechanic. Obviously, you can't just do it from the get go, but give yourself a hour or so to get the timing right, and bang ... instant one shot kills all day.

"Cheap" is very much the word. Especially players that do it every game. If the only way you can play the game, is to use an instant kill weapon. Whether it be Short range, medium or long range .... whats the point?

I've got mixed views but do find it frustrating (to say the least) when someone jumps out from behind something quick scopes, jumps back behind cover, then jumps out again then quick scopes etc getting kill after kill - especially when on the kill cam the bullet never seemed to hit me

Yesterday played with/against probably the best player I've ever seen on MW3 who didn't quick scope (was running around with submachine gun or assault gun) and got a MOAB in two successive games - now that's what i call real talent!

What is that trick? Googling it only brought me back here!

I hate quick scoping, I hate being on the end of it, I hate doing it. With maps that small there is no way anyone should be using a one shot long distance weapon for close quarters combat. I know COD et al are not realistic, but there should be some level of authenticity!!

They put a bit of blue/white tac in the middle of their monitor or tv screen, it helps with QS.

I would consider that skill to certain degree. It certainly IS annoying, but I can't see how this method can be consider cheating.

Drop shot is far more annoying than quick scoping.

To me drop shot is either skill or "assisted by a modded controller"

(assuming by drop shot you mean the person diving to prone when they start to shoot)

Whatever it is, I normally find a lot of satisfaction in bad reping such gameplay for unsporting conduct or similar

Spawn trapping especially on Domination is worse than quick scoping.

Takes no skill at all and is not sportmanship.

How do you 'bad rep' someone on MW3?

Switch your controller layout to 'Tactical' layout then it's easy to dropshot. I been using it since Cod 4.

It doesn't require precision, auto aim does most of the work, i'd love to see you guys quickscope without auto aim (you couldn't do it )
